Wonderful authentic experience staying in this 900 year old chateau. The proprietor couple will assure your stay is memorable. The recently remodeled rooms have all the modern conveniences as well as they are very clean and comfortable. Our dinner was Michelon quality featuring regional specialties of duck and garlic as well as superb local wine and cheeses.

We stayed here as a stopover while travelling from Bordeaux to Auch. The chateau is very authentic and the rooms are seem to be individually decorated/furnished. The chateau has very large grounds with a pool. A fresh continental breakfast was served. Its best feature were the very friendly owners...even before the visit they sent welcoming emails. We unfortunately forgot to... More

Staying here really gives one a good impression of what life may have been like for chateau-dwellers a few hundred years ago (provided they had modern plumbing and electric light, etc.) Our room (No. 14) had a four-poster bed, a comfortable bathroom and a view of the little stream that flows beside the 'Bastide' (arcaded houses built around a central... An incredible hotel in an ancient castle, in one of the prettiest villages in the region, and close to many of the regions sights. The hotel is very majestic. The rooms are big and spacious. We had a baby with us and the owners were very helpful. The food at the hotel is outstanding. I would stay here again just... More

Possibly the perfect hotel? - you are staying inside the actual castle, which has been beautifully refurbished throughout and is part of a medieval village, which has been voted one of the most beautiful in France. The village square has cafes, wine shops, antique shops as well as an excellent auberge. The hotel has its own restaurant, outdoor pool and... More

Back in France for short holidays, I suggested to two very good friends to join me for a week-end in Gers. I had selected Château de Fourcès for its spectacular architecture and the very typical Gascony village around it. We shared a family two bedroom suite of great character, very comfortable and with a view on both sides of the... More

We have just returned from France and during our trip we stayed for two nights at this Chateau. We have had the pleasure of staying in a lot of Chateau and all have their own unique charm. This is not an hotel, so should not be compared to one, although I feel a bit more effort could have been put... More

To be fair, the Chateau only advertises itself as a private chambre d'hote venue - and to stay within the classification can only let a small number of rooms. But I don't see how they can afford to operate such a monstrous venue - the heating alone must be a crippling cost in winter! - with only a few occupants... More

Beautiful location in this incredible round Bastide village. The property is full of character and charm and very comfortable rooms and beds, although the decor is a little tired. The pool area could be very nice but is also a little neglected. The main problem with the place is the people who are running it! Completely unhospitable, they gave you... More

I was in Gascony for the annual Flamme d'Armagnac Festival. Although I only stayed at Chateau de Forces for two nights, I was charmed by my Junior Suite, a round room at the top of a turret with a romantic view of the gardens. The amenities were all first class, from the chocolates on my pillow to the fluffy duvet.... More
