A lovely little town within walking distance via an old wooden bridge to Switzerland stein. Stopped at this restaurant for mid day food and whilst I had the schnitzel the others had salad all fresh and hearty food. Chips were a bit warm however this did not stop me enjoying my meal. With a couple of drinks the bill was...

My review is about the restaurant only, we did not stay the night. A really good friend of ours lives close by and we often meet him for dinner at the Black Whale. Located in a historic building on the cobbled town square right across the facade of the lovely church, the Black Whale is fairly narrow, the cobbled town...

This was my first visit to Bad Sackingen on business and had to take the recommendations of my colleagues. I must say that t his hotel is very clean and the staff extremely friendly. The menu is varied and portions large. I thought that the prices were reasonable compared with the UK but I have not had tome to compare...

We had dinner and a few drinks here. The food was mixed: the steak too tough although the salad was nice and fresh. Athmosphere very good, although it does close too early (at midnight). Prices very moderate, so it does deserve a second chance.

Ask for one of the new rooms, the old ones are more old german-style. There is free wifi now with a decent speed ( for a hotel ) The...

We stayed in one of the A class bedrooms and left with mixed feelings about the hotel. We were welcomed very friendly and the bedroom was nicely furnished and clean as was the bath. And the breakfast buffet was quite okay too. The location of the hotel is very good, in the middle of everything. But, having booked an A...

We stayed in the Black Whale quiet by chance as we dropped in on Bad Sackingen on a drive through Germany. The town was very busy and we needed some accommodation. So we did what we have found to be a good option in Germany and Austria we asked at the local tourist office. They were so helpful and found...
