We spent 2 nights in the hotel and I must say I left with ambivalent feelings. The hotel is situated next to the main road therefore the rooms which are facing the street are very loud from cars. If you have a chance or planning on a longer stay I would highly recommend to ask for a room that is...

We discovered the Hotel Kreuz-Post by chance many years ago. We have stayed their at least once per year since then. The welcome by the family of Herr Gehr is always warm, the rooms very comfortable, and the cuisine excellent. We recommend this hotel highly. And the wines from Burkheim and the Kaiserstuhl are superb.

We visited this hotel the last week of August and we booked through the logis de France website. This was the fourth stop in our short tour of southern Germany. What a place to stop! Fantastic! The hotel sits at the base of the rolling hills of the black forest, amongst the vineyards and at the start of the picturesque...

This was recommended to us by German friends for a non-touristy stay in wine country. This inn is located in the wine region of Kaiserstuhl, Germany. Located across the Rhine River from the Alsace area of France, this small town of Burgheim is surrounded by vineyards, and small wineries. We were the only Americans there, but the owner of this...

My room was in the roof and I had good views over the vineyards. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom good and the double size room, for me on my own, was just right. The owners were very friendly. They came round to the tables in the evening and spoke to all the guests. They were helpful with advice and...

Pleasant stay. The owners were very friendly and made the most to give us the best service. The location is wonderful. They gave us free public transportation tickets. The room were nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was good, with local food...though a bit expensive. All in all, very nice stay. Shall I suggest it? Yes Will...

We very much liked our 3-night stay at the Kreuz-Post in Burkheim (Germany). It is a family run hotel, modern rooms, very clean and and very friendly staff, especially the owners. The breakfast is not bad if you get there on a day where there are no bus tours. The restaurant is very good and both food and accomodation are...

We couldn't find any hotel in Alsace, and ended up in Germany side of the Rhine for the night. The hotel was situated in a very quiet location. The room/bathroom were clean, but not big. I guess that was what we paid for. The restaurant in the hotel offers rustic cooking. The food was good. The owner was frendly and...
