Both hotel and restaurant were the best we tried in Rheingau. Stay away from Rüdesheim apart from a visit to wineries and the cable car up to the monument. Kronenschlöschen is the place to stay and to eat!!! One of Europes greatest wine lists!

The place is nice but the food is miserable. The portions are very small and we paid for 4 person almost 500 euro. The get something you have to ask minimum 2 times when you are lucky. I ordered fish and I get a so small portion that I was astonished. Definitely not a place to come back.

We went to the Kronenschloesschen early January this year. We were very unfortunate. upon reservation nobody told us that the fine dining is closed - so we were having lunch in the bistro - OK. Second we came with two kids so we were offered a table in the middle of the restaurant - after insisting we got a corner...

We stayed in this hotel when we got married in the Rhenigau in 2008, so it is always lovely to come back. Very friendly team and can really recommend dinner in the courtyard on a summer's evening. The wine list is fantastic and the hotel is a great base for exploring this beautiful wine region. We had a lovely family...

A beautiful Hotel.Charming rooms and even more charming staff makes you feel very much at home. The Food is out of this world and there are not many Hotels that can show a better wine list. I have stayed here several times and am always looking Forward to return to this warm atmosphere.

We attended, my wife and I, two times this year; once the 5 of march, with the Italian cooks Enrico and Roberto Cerea (supposed to be three stars) and the 16 of march, with the two tars French cook Jean Claude Bourgueil, two stars. The Jean Claude Bourgueil meal was excellent, reaching the expected level, and according to the price...

A lovely venue for a gourmet feast , been here twice now . The festival is great but rooms in the hotel are just a bit tired , for the British traveller no coffee facilities and old fashioned rooms and decor . ....In need of renovation. It's difficult to have an opinion on food as everything is closed when the...

My husband and I chose to stay overnight as we came to attend one of their events: what brought us here was a set dinner with piano concert. We booked the junior suite and arrived pretty much on check in time. The welcome was very warm and although we only had a bag for a stay over night we were...

4.5 circles if it could be done. Hotel is a great location for winery visits and Rhine touring. Selected the from Fienschmeker write-ups. Hotel has great charachter. Communication with reservations was fast and email turnaround extremly quick. Asked for winery visit recommendations, and had three recommendations back in under 2 hours. We chose one and they did all the work...

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a pleasant stay. We had booked a suite and it was a good size with a lovely marble bathroom. The hotel is very old so there is no lift and quite a trek up the creaky stairs but this all added to the experience for us! There was a small...
