After a warm welcome in Italian (no English spoken) we were shown a very nice room in a trullo. Great room, tv, fridge, airco etc. and a simple but nice shower room. We shared the terrace with a neighbouring room but there is so much outside space that this is no problem. Lovely garden with flowers, fruit trees and a swimming pool and great view of the surrounding area (Locorotondo and Martina Franca in the distance). The only disappointment was the fact that the restaurant was closed, which we heard only a week before travelling.

We were three couples and just adored the place. Very quiet and still one is quickly in most places of puglia. A lovely pool. The bedrooms are well equipped and the personnel very friendly. I will definitely return!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night while attending a friends’ wedding in a nearby venue. We stayed in room 13 (double) which was just awful. The room door was right beside/ behind the main metal gate entrance to the masseria. Essentially, cars would pass right in front of the room door. The room was absolutely tiny with no space to even open my cabin size suitcase. I had to open it on top of the bedside cabinet or risk tripping over it. A single bed would have been more appropriate. The room was stuffy as there was no window except the door which doubles up as a ‘window’. There was a small window in the bathroom but it was above eye level. The bathroom was clean but the room was visibly dusty The clumps of dust on the bedside wall was just disgusting (see pictures). Also the top of the chair was very dusty. I was so worried about touching anything that I kept everything in my suitcase. The ground of the masseria looks nice and the receptionists were friendly. But room cleanliness is essential!

We had a four day visit to Italy for a friend's wedding and chose to stay at Masseria Sant Elia simply because they were having their reception there. What a stoke of luck. The area is beautiful. Off the beaten track. Quiet ,secluded but within touching distance of so many lovely little towns Andreas, whose family own the old monastery, met us on arrival and was really helpful The room we had was an old Trulli as they are called It was basic but nice enough and was really just somewhere to rest your head at night. Breakfast was simple but again nice enough. If you want "full English " go to Benidorm You will need a car but the roads are quiet and everywhere seemed very easy to find If you want quiet , stunning countryside this is the place to stay The gardens are lovely and there is a pool but it was not in use this early in the year I have fallen in love with Masseria Sant'Elia We only had four days. I would happily stay for four weeks. We will definitely be back

We stayed here for 4 nights. 9th - 12th May. On arrival Andreas greeted us before we had even got out of the car. He then took us on a little tour of the property before taking us to our Trulli. We loved our accommodation. The surrounding area is beautiful. Andreas and his Aunt are lovely and helpful. You do need a car when staying as is quite a bit off the beaten track and to find it you need to put the name of the accommodation into google maps not the address. We loved it here and would definitely return.
