We stayed her overnight before we went off to San Sebastian and were very glad we did. We stayed in Hondarribia so we could get some experience of a small picturesque town and Hotel Palacete was a big part of the experience. As other reviewers have said, it is located in an old square within quick walking distance of the... More

Stayed one night here on a 'foody' visit. Set in a charming square with a small exterior terrace, we were advised on parking on arrival with success later in the day. Room 101 was small but perfectly adequate with new fittings in contemporary style and spotlessly clean - although shower tray sealant needs refreshing. Very pleasant breakfast in Spanish style... Palacete is rated 1* hotel, but it feels much more. Indeed the hotel is modest, but very pleasant. I enjoyed here much more then in a 3* hotel in San Sebastian. We stayed at the room with the bay window facing the square, and it was spacious and lovely. Located in the heart of old Hondarribia with all the charm.... More

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and found it very comfortable. It's located in a picturesque square with easy walking access to the centre of town (you need to park your car outside the city walls but it's free and only a few minutes walk across the bridge to get to the hotel once you know where you're going).... Not sure what's happened, but just not quite the same as year ago. Requested and had confirmed large room with front balcony (the only one), but not available upon arrival. Reserved 3 nights, only had us down for 2, but not a problem to extend (we decided to move to St. Jean du Luz anyway) Cool little village with convenient... More

This is a lovely hotel, with great views. and friendly helpful staff. Our room had a floor to ceiling bay window, looking onto the square. No restaurant, but it has a small bar in the courtyard at the side.

We stayed in this hotel when it first opened 10 years ago and have visited for a few days every year since. The hotel is situated on a large historic square with period residences in the old town of Hondarribia. The hotel has great charm with it's original exterior and interior stone spiral staircase. The rooms are tastefully decorated with... More

Excellent value for money. Situated in a charming square in the old town. Hotel does not have a restaurant but the old town has some good ones that can be found as you walk around. Also the shops of the new town are a mere stroll away. Then there is Nat the owners dog. Nat makes it an even better stay.

It's a while since my wife and I came to this hotel. We first visited it about ten years ago when it was ridiculously cheap. Very much a budget option - 1* - if I remember correctly. We were planning to stay in the Parador but it was fully booked. We thought this would 'do' as an alternative. It was really very good. A lovely old building in the centre of the old district.
