This is indeed a historic place for the Netherlands. Some parts, like the bar, still bear that feeling, but there are also several quite modern parts and those with a different atmosphere like the breakfast tea room. To take your time over there is a good choice as they serve a n

Large room with huge, comfy bed. Big telly, if that’s your thing. Delightful, historic, small family owned hotel. High end restaurant and sweet French bistro. Kind, friendly staff - but that seems to be the Dutch way. What lovely people.

My husband brought me here. Wageningen is his birthplace which he knew very well the historical event that occur in this hotel. We came to visit, which i considered also as an attraction. We stayed in the restaurant for a drink and went around the lobby shortly after the drinks.

We had a family group of 15 stay here in August. My room was large with a nice view out the front of the hotel. This hotel is the site of the capitulation of the German troops in the Netherlands in 1945 and the end of German occupation during WWII. The body gel/shampoo was great!

"Our room was number 1, not with a great view but very quiet especially during the night."
"Historical place, where you feel welcome"
"It's a small hotel, 2 floors, I would think any room would be fine."
"A good tip is that if you are staying in the summer time (or during warm periods), ask for a room with airco as not all rooms have this."
