This guest house is in a oast house in the village of Icklesham in East Sussex. We stayed for three nights and had a large comfortable bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the owners were very helpful in suggesting places to visit and where to eat. Well situated for exploring the Cinque Ports such as Rye and Hythe. Thoroughly recommended.
We have just returned from a 2 night break at Manor Farm Oast and from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome and were reassured about their Covid measures. The place was spotless, we had our temperature taken as we entered and were provided with masks and sanitiser. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and there were lovely touches with homemade cakes and a good variety of teas and coffee. The breakfast selection, quality and quantity was also very good. Overall, it was a lovely break away and we both felt very comfortable that the hosts were doing everything possible to be Covid safe and to make us feel very welcome. We hope to be back.
I booked 3 rooms at this Oast as a surprise 60th birthday celebration for my husband. The owners were very helpful in securing this "surprise" and additionally provided us with a small fridge to store the champagne. The Covid precautions were extensive and it was great to receive a tube of hand gel with our welcome pack. Our room (The Blue Room) was spacious and very comfortable with a great range of teas and coffees, including ground coffee and a cafetiere. There were even some small cakes provided! We ate at a local pub a short walk away. On our return we were able to sit, chat and have some drinks in the guest lounge. We had pre-ordered our cooked breakfast, and it was very good, with many choices, as well as fruit and cereals. This is certainly a special place, thank you!
I stayed with my friend as we attended a Christmas party and from the minute we entered we felt so welcome. It is a gorgeous place to stay. Kate and Sid are just wonderful, so friendly and nothing is too much for them. Most of the food they serve is home made by Kate or locally sourced. I highly recommend a stay, you won't be disappointed.
