Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you can't find anywhere to stay then go home don't stay here. The room was 8 foot square. The shower was a shared up on a different level. The toilet again shared with hotel. Was down a corridor down stairs. It looked like a knocking shop where sailors would bring back a lady for the night. Or a hmo. Definately not a hotel. Nor a bed and breakfast. I. Surprised the premises met basic legal requirements. Avoid avoid avoid

We stayed here and we informed the receptionist of smoke and burn to the window
To my dismay after we left they took £250 off my card for smoke
We don't smoke
The manager was not only adamant he said he would take £800 off of my card
Barclays fraud squad have been informed
The noise in this place is unreal we complained and was then accused of making the noise
Stay if you can afford to be ripped off

1 out of 10 would have been generous. Poor service, rude, poor cleanliness. I would rather stay in a rat infested tent in Afganistan than stay here. Refused to stay after seeing 2 rooms. Premier in is £10 more and worth every penny. Don't believe the pictures.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my two young children. We received a really warm welcome and speedy check in process. The room was a spacious family room with a comfortable double and single bed, dining table and chair, kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom was a good size with powerful shower, all areas were very clean. The location was ideal, a 5 minute walk to Morrison (for breakfast) and a 10 minute walk to the gosport ferry terminal. The team here are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A couple of nights there were some noisy guests but they did respectfully turn their music off when asked to turn it down. We had a nice stay here, we knew that there would be no dining facilities so we just kept a little stock of snacks.

Adequate wardrobe and drawer space a kingside double bed with two other singles, two armchairs, table and 4 chairs and plenty of space in the room. Good value for price charged. £130.

My husband and I stayed three nights here over Christmas as the place where we have stayed before and other places were fully booked.oh dear what a shock . We were taken to an office and paid the amount we owed, we were shown how to get in and out of the back door and told to place the key in the box outside on the morning we were leaving. Our double room was at the back of the house and it smelt musky the bed appeared clean. The bathroom was satisfactory. The bed was up against the window which was not double glazed and felt cold, the curtains had to be closed constantly to keep the warmth in . My husband found a dirty back t shirt at the back of the t.v. I tried to inform a member of staff but no one could be found and the office was locked. On Boxing Day I dropped one of my rings on the floor and my husband got on his hands and knees and looked under the single bed in our room only to find bags of rubbish with k.f.c. Contents. Again we went to find a member of staff, no body in sight. The next morning when we were leaving I saw a door open next to ours, my husband knocked at the door and a member of staff appeared. We asked him to look at the room where we had stayed and he tried to assure us that all rooms were cleaned and checked. I asked to speak to the manager but he wasn't there. I have written a letter of complaint but have heard nothing. Please donot stay there if it is the last place to go like we did.we completely agree with the previous review.

DO NOT stop @ this b&b/ex care home............ firstly it says its a b&b but actually you have to go to a local cafe and pay parking for your breakfast which to be fair you can not fault as the cafe is lovely, you pay £5 for breakfast in advance with the hotel but actually the breakfast u get is only £4 on the menu so u do just aswell to find breakfast yourself. Luckyly it was a one night stop, Thank god! Rooms were dingy, and dark and also the front garden is full of junk not at all very welcoming..... also the strong smell of cannabis was awful , especially when we had my partners 10 year old daughter not at all impressed i wouldnt mind if it was cheap but paying £70.00 i was not at all impressed..........

On booking.com it has a 7.2 rating... I can only surmise this is fake as this place could possibly damage your health and your sanity. Dirty is a word that doesn't truly describe this place with stained bed sheets, filthy worn carpets and furniture that looks like its come from a skip, Only one member of staff on site who was rude and unhelpful. DO NO EVER STAY HERE!!!

This was a last resort as everywhere else was booked up. Wish we had slept in the car. Agree with other reviews, creepy, dirty, no breakfast, shambolic really. Should be shut down. Please don't stay here they should be ashamed to take people's money

Avoid this place at all costs its the worst place I have ever been to, clearly used by the local council to house homeless people. I is so dirty filthy carpets the ceiling was all discoloured no windows. We paid £80 for a double room and I really would have preferred to have slept in the car if it wasn't for the eastern European people hanging around the car park clearly dealing drugs or worst. This place was a formerly a care home and should never have been the status guest house by the local council who I shall also be contacting.........Just disgusting is all I can say about this place.
