The room was clean, light and warm, the beds were comfy, and the cooked breakfast was great. The owners Sue and Colin went above expectations for service, local knowledge, directions and were great with my son too.
We will definitely stay again on our next trip down.

I recently stayed at this nice little traditional b&b as I was on business in the area for a week. Sue and Colin run a homely and spotlessly clean establishment. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The b&b is 15 minutes walk from the ferry and from Stokes Bay so it's located really well.

My mother needed to book a room for an overnight stay. She is 79yeas of age and is registered disabled. The Haven were able to accommodate my mother with a ground floor room. The room was clean and very inviting. The bed was more than comfortable and she had one of the best nights sleep. The breakfast catered to her needs and had more than enough choices on offer. The owner of the guest house was at all times very polite, caring and friendly. My mum is not an easy woman to please but has had a thoroughly pleasant stay. We will most definitely book with the Haven for any future commitments. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here for a short while after a relationship breakdown. At first when I arrived the landlady was freindly enough but it soon became apparent that people who stay with local authority assistance are treated differently than there normal guests.

The place itself is outdated the carpets look about 30 years old and the place could do with a redecorate.

There spaces for about 3 cars at the front of the, I would suggest the you patk so you can drive on to the road and I would not suggest you try reversing on to the road visibility isn't good and could find yourself getting hit.

The room I was in was tacky with outdated wallpaper. It does have a fridge but no cooking facilties so takeaway is yor only option.

The place has a doggy smell to it when upu enter it very noticeable..

There is a TV in the room with a very slow WiFi don't freeview font try using it for streaming not very good for that.

Buy the way I forgot to mention there is a pecking order if you are parking here and where you park if you can that is changes daily. Sometimes you have park in the road and away from the B&B parking is not great road here as a lot of it is permit parking.

As B&B's go I have been in better for less if your a workman it's OK but if you are on Holiday there are better places in the area. It is not as it'description suggests a familly freindly there is nothing for them to do here.

To sum up expensive for what it's is and wasn't a very pleasant place to stay. This is not the best place to stay IMHO. They even block your WiFi when you leave. I normally don't write reviews like this and I usually have a few positives to say but honestly I can't find any sorry.

This is a true and honest assessment of my stay here

My husband and I stayed here in January for 2 nights. Sue and Colin the hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We stayed in a lovely double room on the ground floor which come summertime will be even better as there are patio doors from the bedroom leading to a lovely decked area at the back. Breakfast was 1st class and they even catered for my little fad (think you'll know what I mean Sue and Colin haha). Would definitely stay again when visiting family and friend's and would highly recommend to it to others. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

My colleague and I arrived tired from a long journey, and frustrated by being treated poorly from a terrible place called the Acorn Lodge down the road. When the door opened to the Haven we were greeted by a motherly little figure with a smile on her face and a charming enthusiasm. We were lead to the rooms, which were quaint and homely.
The en-suite was perfect and despite the linen being a little mismatched, the room just felt good and relaxing.

It was a joy to stay there, any request that was made was taken care of with a kindness & consideration. An ample example of this is one morning I couldn't find anywhere the sold hairbands, which I had to wear for work, she stopped me, without being provoked and took the band out of her own hair then gave it to me. Breakfast was good and Sue (The landlady) changed the times to accommodate for us. A lovely touch was learning our names from the moment we introduced ourselves.

This woman deserves all the business she can handle. I wish her success and happiness. For everything that is a little wrong with this place, Sue makes up with her endless charm. This is why I give it 5 stars. It truly is a Haven.

We were overbooked by the local "crack den" called the Acorn Lodge who told us they they had another hotel we could stay in called the Heaven Lodge! Seems they forgot what their other hotel was called as we parked up at the Haven Guest House Within seconds we were pleased to find out it's not theirs as Sue and Colin have owned the Haven for 25 years and have a lovely place to stay. They couldn't be more helpful. Comfortable rooms, spacious nice telly lots of tea and coffee. Great breakfast

On returning to Gosport for a long overdue trip to visit family we stayed at the Haven.Sue and Colin were the best hosts we could ever wish for! The room and bed were faultlessly clean ,tidy ensuite and breakfast 10/10 to set you up for the day. As guesthouses go - The Haven is, we think one of the best ones we have stayed in. We hope to see you again Sue and Col ! and if we are over again we know where we will be staying 😀

Lovely night spent here, clean, everything worked, lovely breakfast. friendly owners. just be careful driving on and off the car park as premises is on a bend in the road, but this does not distract from a pleasant stay. thank you.

If you want clean, simple and friendly bed and breakfast at a very good price, then look no further!.

Arrived on Friday for the Bank Holiday and was greeted by a super bubbly landlady Sue. Sue will not pretend to be something she is not. There is no pretense at being 4 star but your treatment is. We were shown to our room, which was very clean and comfortable. There were more than enough tea and coffee makings, the en suite although small was perfectly adequate, with for us the important thing, LOTS of hot water and a shower that has enough power to wet you without having to run around.

Breakfast was lovely with lots of toast and probably the best guest house tea I have had. None of this tiny tea bag on a string drowned by titanic size tea pots. This was the real McCoy, good colour actual tea!.

Thanks to having our comfortable room which gave us good nights sleep, our reunion weekend was made special by Sue, so thanks once again if you are reading this.

Great No Frills value. See you for next reunion.
