Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A warm welcome from our host Linda. This place is one of those hidden gems that you hear about. Our stay was 10/10, beautiful location, beautiful property and excellent host. It really is better all round than some 4 star hotels that I’ve stayed in. Will definitely have to come back and stay again soon for more than one night.

If I could give this more stars I would! I honestly can't fault anything about either the accommodation, the service, the food, the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Helpful, friendly, room spacious, spotless and exceptionally well equipped. Beautiful and quiet location yet easy walk into Hsltwhistle for shops, cafes, pubs, chemist, supermarket buses and train station. Linda is incredible in all she does, and makes it all look effortless. The tremendous amount of work and fine detail to your stay makes this a truly incredible place to book.

Linda and John were such helpful and kind hosts. Linda picked us up from the Hadrian's Wall path and dropped us off the following morning and John took us to and from the pub for our evening meal. The room was stunning and spacious, plenty of room for the 3 of us. Breakfast was a perfect, generous farmhouse meal, with loads of variety, whether you like a full English or have lighter tastes. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was stylish and all the extras, including the superior toiletries, fridge, biscuits, boot tray and suitcase stand made for a wonderful stay. The area is beautiful and there is plenty to explore. We should have stayed here for 2 nights!

I stayed here with my partner for just the one night, with the purpose of nighttime photography on Haidrians Wall. What and absolute gem of a place. There are just three room on site all located in a renovated barn. Each one is slightly different so I’m told. We stayed in Bluebell. A lovely spacious and comfortable room. The room had a king size bed and an extra single bed so ideal for families too. The bathroom was lovely and spacious with a huge wall in shower/wet room. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided with a good supply of everything and fresh milk waiting for us in the fridge. There was also a microwave and toaster if you need to make use off. The breakfast was amazing with a large selection of cereals, fruit, juices, yoghurt & honey as well as croissants. All followed by a delicious full English. Really set us up for the following day. Each room has its own separate private entrance so if your coming and going late you don’t disturb others guest. Linda was a fabulous host and made us feel very welcome. A lovely place to stay and I am certain we will be back. The B&B is on a working farm and it was lovely to be woken to the sound of sheep being rounded up.

The farmhouse is set in the iconic northern country site with nature walks right in front of the doorstep. We came for the Hadrian Wall of which you can find beautiful stretches nearby. The breakfast by Linda was gorgeous and felt like a family visit.

Only 3 bedrooms but all en suite and beautifully decorated. We chose the Primrose room as we like the walk in shower. Tea and coffe making facilities, a toaster and microwave should you wish, tv and hair dryer. A workig farm also but veryquiet. Breakfast is a real treat, honey and yoghurt, cereals if you wish, croissants and freshly cooked full English with plenty of options all overseen by Linda. Easy access to Haltwhistle (20 minute walk for the more able) good public transport links and within reaching distance of Hadrians Wall. Highly recommended.

We were on a cycling tour, and this was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights (we extended after our first night). Great location to explore the area around Haltwhistle. Linda is a truly great host, and her breakfasts are to die for! She even drove us to town on our first night, as we were too worn out from cycling to go to eat at the pub. The room was quiet and very comfortable, the best bed on our 10 day trip. Would love to go back some time soon.

Everything was amazing! A very peaceful and tranquil getaway. The accommodation was wonderful and the beds were incredibly comfortable and warm. The cleanliness was great too - particularly the bathroom. Food that is served here is great and John and Linda and the family are so welcoming and hospitable. It’s our second visit and we can’t wait for the next!

Wydon Farm B&B was a fantastic find, thanks to TripAdvisor. Linda & John offer a tranquil home from home in fully equipped, comfortable bedroom suites immediately next to their farmhouse. The generous home-cooked breakfast, served in the farmhouse dining room was just delicious! The added bonus was that Wydon Farm was so close to Hadrian’s Wall and many interesting places to visit or to walk. Linda and John provided great local information enabling their guests to plan their stay with ease and were always willing to offer assistance. Our only regret was that we hadn’t stayed longer, but we’ll visit again. With our thanks.
