We are pleased to announce the opening of TWO NEW Double Occupancy Studio Apartments Suites,both have their own self-contained entrance with a kitchenette and dining area, comfy settee, En-Suite shower facilities. A Welcome Hamper packed with breakfast items is included in the price when booking the Studio Suites . Each suite has a full size fridge and comprehensive self catering facilities for a flexible B&B experience.. We also have ONE Comfortable Double Bedroom at the rear of the house. En-Suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. This room we offer on a room only basis single or double occupancy with some complimentary extras and the option to pre order a Grab & Go Breakfast. Ideal for walking holidays. All rooms have Free WIFI, Flat screen TV. USB points. We care about your sleep at Milton House, after all the clue is in the name. Organic hand made mattress or mattress toppers, blackout blinds/curtains. There are 3 pubs in the Village serving food at lunch time and evenings. I stayed at MIlton House for two nights when coming to the Dales for a solo walking trip. It was an excellent experience on every level. Jo is a perfect host with great communication skills - she was in touch before I arrived and there was an option of receiving a key code if I arrived late. As it happened, I arrived within the 4-6pm check-in period and Jo showed me to the room which I had booked. I booked the double room which is available on a room only basis and that suited very well as I don't have much breakfast anyway. One of the highlights for me was that there was a small fridge in the room with milk, yoghurts and fruit juice. As someone who loves tea but detests UHT milk, this was a treat. Although booked as a room without breakfast, Jo left a hospitality tray with cereal, croissants and jam which was very welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable as it has a special mattress which made a huge difference. The shower was over the bath so I had the best of both worlds, which was perfect after walking in that very hot spell we've had. Everything was immaculately clean. Parking very convenient in a small car park virtually adjoining the property ( there is also private parking even nearer) and the property is perfectly placed in Askrigg where there are a range of eating options at night. Jo was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and other tips. I would highly recommend this property - one of the best I've stayed in.…

Askrigg is a perfect place to explore Dales, and is wonderfully quiet. Our stay at Milton House was perfect, and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for the comfort of home, away from home. Jo runs a wonderful establishment and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The king-size bed was fantastic to sleep on, and the 'self-prepare' breakfast was a great way to start each day. Mill Gill (waterfall) is only a relatively short walk away and is worth a visit - such a good way to take in the country-side. The nearest pub is just across the street so you can visit the nearby, busy tourist towns, castle and waterfall and then park the car and enjoy some quiet village time.

Just spent 3 nights in one of the suites. Comfortable and Very friendly and well organised by Jo the owner. Great little village with 3 pubs and good cycle routes right from the door , with private off street parking and stored bikes in the garage.

We stayed in the upstairs apartment. Jo was a friendly hostess. The apartment was well furnished, the bed was really comfy. Apartment consists of a decent sized kitchen/dining room, a large double bedroom with a small en suite bathroom. Jo provided a welcome breakfast hamper, which was a nice touch. The bacon and sausages were excellent. Fresh bread too. Everything you need to cook your own food is in the kitchen. Air fryer, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee machine, kettle. Hadn't stayed with Bernie and Jo for some time and not since the upgrade to studio apartments. We had a really nice stay. The breakfast pack was excellent and provided everything you need and really good quality. The studio apartment was spotless, as usual. Bernie and Jo are brill and nothing too much trouble. I’ve now stayed here 3 times, and each time the service seems to get better and better! The property itself is lovely, with many quirky oddities, the landlady/landlord are lovely and very accommodating. Also, the location of this B&B is perfect, you can get most places by walking and if not, it’s a 20 minute journey on The Little White Bus company. A highly recommended place to stay, and I will be returning!

Just returned from our annual friends trip to Askrigg. We stayed at Milton House. Jo and her husband couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are now self catering. We enjoyed our own cooked breakfast - local produce left in our fridge - yoghurt, granola, fresh juice, milk, water, sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes - we were not hungry. The beds are so comfy. Lovely place to stay / thank you Jo x

Great couple of nights in this beautiful renovated accommodation the room was spacious with that extra flexibility of a kitchen/lounge to relax and prepare your own food. The breakfast box was very good with a choice of hot or cold options. The hosts were great also there for a friendly chat or to make sure everything was ok without being to intrusive. The position of the house was excellent for exploring the pubs in askrigg and the wider dales 👍

Milton House Studio Apartments is run by Jo & Bernie, in the quiet wensleydale village of Askrigg. We chose this B&B as it had godd reviews and itslocation was perfect for the Dales. Everything was spot on. The village is peaceful, the folk about friendly and location excellent. The Studio apartments feature a living room, with great cooking facilities, coupled to a large bedroom with ensuite shower room/toilet. On arrival there was a wekcome hamper with fresh bread and everything needed for a breakfast. Jo introduced this because of Covid,but there is an option of a cooked breakfast. The room and bed were well presented, clean and neat. There were toiletries in place and plenty of towels. Jo couldn't do enough to make our stay easy and relaxing, which it was. One of the nice features was the bedroom was at the back of the house away from the main road (main road ? Two cars a hour!) The room was very good value for two people and we will be back…

We had a wonderful stay at Milton House, thank you so much to Jo and Bernie. Absolutely spotless, and everything has been thought of. A combination of fresh air and the incredibly comfy bed meant excellent sleeps, and the well equipped kitchen meant we could enjoy breakfast when we felt like it, which is good as my wife enjoys a nice lie in.
