Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent comfy B&B. We had the attic room which gave us plenty of room and a comfy bed with a lovely view over the well tended garden. Being in the attic the hot water is quite slow but the electric shower was fine. Since we were at a wedding nearby we chose to only have a light breakfast, which was wonderful. The location is in a very picturesque village, but parking late at night we found was not possible outside the house.

A truly lovely find, large spacious room with lovely comfy bed and warm and cosy fittings . Scrumptious breakfast .Warm and welcoming host made us feel like a family member but not intrusive. Will definitely revisit perfect location and a couple of lovely eating places nearby.

A really good home from home. We were made to feel very welcome by Gail as soon as we arrived. Lovely room, comfortable bed and everything we needed in the en-suite, I particularly liked the little things like the all the shampoos, body wash, hair spray, cotton wool. You didn’t want for anything. Even a fridge in the room.
Fantastic breakfast, with so much choice.
Will definitely stay again.

Stayed just the one night whilst visiting the nearby National Trust property, but it was very enjoyable. Gail is most welcoming and the house is very tasteful…we could have moved in!

Breakfast is good with good quality ingredients, and plenty of choice. Comfortable bed and pillows. You can park your car immediately outside the house if necessary.

Mere is a lovely little place.

Plenty of places to eat very close by.

And although we visited Stourhead in the (much needed) rain, it was still a great place to visit and very close to the B&B by car so an ideal place to stay.

We stopped here with our 10 month old, and a plan to visit the nearby safari park. With plans to visit the safari park covid-scuppered, we decided to stay anyway and catch up with friends. I'm so glad we did, this is a gem of a B&B, the host is warm and friendly, and the room was one of the best we've stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot).

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. We had a 10 month old with us, and Gail was only too happy to help accommodate him with a breakfast and a little bag of toys. Thank you so much.

Oh no I've only just realised you'd written this lovely review one month on. Thank you so much and sorry not to reply sooner, didn't have my eye on the ball with those puppies that were around then. Really kind of you to take the time and to say such kind words. Hoping all goes well with you and perhaps see you here again. Best wishes, Gail

Beautiful B&B with excellent surroundings. Room had everything we needed, and such a great location for a relaxing countryside getaway. Gail (the host) was so accommodating (and a great cook!). And to top it all off - the weather was ideal! Will most certainly visit again.

Sad, very sad, that we had only one night staying at this beautiful B&B. You can see in every detail with how much love and passion this house has been restored and decorated. But if you meet Gail (host) you immediately understand ... because it really seems to be her biggest aim to be the perfect host for their guests. Thank you! And sorry, that we had to leave that quick ... nevertheless we really enjoyed the outstanding breakfast. We will come back again!!!!!
