Warm welcome, immediate cash refund for breakfast we did not have due to early start. Charming host who even rang nearby restaurant ahead for us to say we would be late. Great beds with high class linen and room spotlessly clean. This was a late booking but turned out to be a jewel, we recommend it unreservedly. More power points and possibly USB charging points would be an improvement. Roadside parking was not as expected, no private parking.

We enjoy the quality of the room. It’s a big space, with calming white walls and a chest of drawers with kettle, tea bags, Nescafé and chocolate powder. It is peaceful – despite facing the road – and the bed is large enough. The bathroom was OK. with a powerful shower. We had heavy rain when I wake and I contemplate the rain before to go for breakfast. Coffee and a Scottish breakfast platter with eggs, haggis, sausage, bacon and potato scones. The internet works very well. Notwithstanding the available private car park information, the car was parked on the road.

My Wife and I booked for one evening and were due to arrive at 20.30hrs but due to our ferry being cancelled we didn't get there until 22.40hrs. Margaret was there to give us a warm welcome never the less and we had a comfortable sleep. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and beautifully cooked. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Southcliffe last week. Our room was very clean and warm and the bed was comfortable. Margaret and Mike were very friendly hosts. There was a good choice at breakfast - we particularly enjoyed the bowlful of fresh fruit salad each morning. Southcliffe was within easy walking distance of the village and its many eateries. We ate at the Frigate Hotel, the Ca'Dora and the Anchorage, all of which were excellent. Tarbert itself is a lovely village with a harbour and a good selection of shops.

It is a friendly, safe community. They have a good range of restaurants & we enjoyed the seafood at Starfish.
