Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here weekend of the 23rd September and had a fantastic weekend, we booked a silver caravan and it was lovely and clean and tidy. We made a request for a bed to be removed so we could fit a travel cot in and they happily obliged.

Friday night the club was closed but there was entertainment on in the magpie and stump pub, saturday it was quiet in the club but this is to be expected when all kids have gone back to school and the season is almost coming to a close, Sunday nothing was open once again the site is quite so understandably no point having everything open and nobody using it.

Over all we had a fantastic holiday and the site is a pleasure to stay at and it’s a credit to Louis and his team at palins, keep up the great work and we will see you again soon

On arriving at Palins, I was greeted with lovely staff wearing face shields, and could see their happy smiles, great start to our 7 day holiday. I had booked 2 Silver caravans, and they didn't disappoint, extremely clean with the beds made up. This was a70th birthday surprise for my husband. On entering our caravan my husband found an envelope on the table, he opened it, and found a birthday card from all the staff at Palins...What a lovely and kind thought. Our friends were happy with their caravan too. The staff at the Magpie and Stump were really nice, as too were the staff in the onsite shop. We all had a great time and sad to go home, shame it couldn't have been a longer stay. Thank you Palins, as Arnie said "I'll be back" and so will my husband and friends.

Hired a Gold caravan with the expectation of gold standard, not the case. I can only assume the cleaning staff forgot to visit this caravan because toilet in shower room had not been cleaned, the floor not clean, cooker doors for the oven and grill left dirty and cutlery had to be washed, we spent the first hour of holiday cleaning as well as chasing up on the double bed not having been made up. A lack of customer service when the key was handed in we were not asked if we had enjoyed the stay, would recommend the management carry out customer surveys. Other aspects on the site were good, I.e. the club, indoor pool and kids play area. Sorry to say that we will never return to Palins based on this recent experience

We hired a private caravan on Palin's club caravan park.
The caravan isn't clean! It's dirty with food squashed in the eating area chips! The beds are awfull I have never had springs sticking in to me
The carpets are disgusting filthy and the shower hadn't been cleaned it had the previous persons soap splashed on the doors.
The cooker top was splashed with grease and on the work tops. The freezer was dirty with odd bits stuck on to it.The curtains hanging off the tape top,no lamps ect.
I would never expect anyone to stay in a place that hadn't been cleaned properly! Especially when it states due to Covid they leave the caravan empty for 3 days before they deep clean!even as far as the pillows and duvets!
I find it very hard to believe as it was dirty with odd bits of food in cupboards cushions ect ect
For the record its caravan 98
We booked it for our parents 62nd wedding anniversary who met each other 64 1/2 years ago in Rhyl.

Arrived September 19th not a good start had booked silver adapted caravan as my husband is disabled got a bronze with steps , fair enough was rectified right away . Caravans are grotty and outdated. Nothing going on all there is to do is drink . Pool not open could let in 20 at a time for half hour using track and trace , could have opened club for so many bingo etc kids clubs but no nothing at all I know it's covid but other caravan parks are doing things . Sorry Palin's big mistake not opening up winkups are taking your customers. What can I say about the magpie and stump my husband was made to feel like he shouldn't be there because he had to take his mobility scooter inside. Some lanky scruffy man dressed in black had a go at my husband because my husband wanted to sit in chair and not stay on his scooter . We soon left custom was lost through this ignorant man . Fair to say won't be booking back at Palin's again.

Previously stayed numerous times with no issues.

Stayed July 2022 with my sister and my 3 grandkids aged 3/10/15 Sat to Tues. Left early Tues morning as toilet flooded bathroom from pipe when toilet was flushed Mon night and Tues morning. This rendered the bathroom unusable.

Caravan is right on top of a bungalow and brick wall (approx 1m gap) so there's nowhere for kids to go outside. Wasn't suitable for us at all. Reservations team should have known this!

Half grill not working on stove. Fridge froze food. Awful musty smell. On/off smell of drains. Not ample kitchen items for number of guests.

All caravans were full as advised by maintenance person so I didn't request to move so when I have emailed upon my return home they said basically it's my own fault!

Seriously, me and my family very much was looking forward to our holiday here and now we are very much looking forward to going home. No organisation here whatsoever, parents who tank themselves up at the bar while letting their children run riot, we found out these people own a caravan on the site so they will always be here. The security is useless, poor staff at the arcades get threatened with pool balls being thrown at them. Have a clear out! Sack the security as they are useless! And get this place organised, make it tougher for families like this to get in by making them buy passes for the week. We dont spend money on our holidays for this crap. Lovely fish and chip shop but pity that the woman in there and her 20 children make the place look untidy, and she even had the cheek to tell the staff to put smiles on their faces, who the hell would enjoy working here?! Who the hell would want to smile knowing the abuse that they know they will constantly get. Sort this mess out and get it organised!

just got back from a long weekend away. had a brilliant time, the wife and kids loved it. my 2 year old loved doing the kids disco in the evening, the easter egg hunt and meeting cyril the seahorse, we also enjoyed the swimming pool. cant comment on the main entertainment as we didnt watch any as it was on a bit too late for our little one.

chippy was nice although a bit on the pricey side but thats to be expected, the magpie and stump was good, very busy but again its bank holiday weekend so its to be expected.

we'll definitely be back, keep up the great work
