There is not tv and wifi in rooms, neither cell service. But, on the other hand, the hotel is plenty of small fontains, bridges, and facilities for meditation. It is near Tepoztlan town, therefore a weekend might be a combination of activities in the hotel and a nice walking around the town.

Hi Ana, Thank you for taking the time for your review. We really appreciate it! We encourage our guests to try to disconect themselves form the outside world and try to focus on themselves and the loved ones that are traveling with them, that´s why we don´t have T.V in our rooms and the wi-fi is limited so you can...

The hotel has a very interesting concept. The main purpose of the hotel is to offer a peaceful environment with activities such as meditation, body massages and great spa services. The location of the hotel is at the outside of the town where everything is calm and peaceful.

I'd like to be concise: The good: 1. The location is beautiful and every part of the hotel has an amazing view towards the mountain range. 2. The restaurant is very good - it has an excellent service and a robust and versatile menu that can please vegans, vegetarians and omnivores with high-quality meals. They open later than they officially...

I first went many, many years ago when it first opened and it only had a handful of rooms. Even though they have more rooms available now, it still has kept its charming and private ambience. I do go there often and have not ONCE had a bad experience. I even got married by a shaman there and the hotel...

the first asset of the hotel is the view on the surrounding mountains , simply impressive ! then the different ambiances with various pools , gardens, streams make the whole ambiance relaxing. Not only it is well designed, it is also well maintained and cared for . depending on what you like there is a full offering of activities :...

After a week or Mexico I got recommended this magical place by a friend who stayed there several times. The place is located less than hour away from Mexico City but it feels like you are so far away in the gorgeous mountains. Facilities are such a surprise, it feels so beautiful and exclusive and spiritual. Perfect place to recharge...

Hostal de la Luz is a stunning compound in beautiful surroundings. Asian inspired architecture and greenery feels almost like a Balinese retreat. We were there off season, and the resort was largely empty. Although the staff appeared plentiful the resort was not well maintained. Cobwebs were everywhere. The dining area and bar feels a bit like a camp setting. The...

The place is very comfortable and in each spot, the relaxing environment has been carefully built. Restaurant services are surprisingly over the top of other places in Tepoztlan, Amatlan, etc. Very fine mexican wines, superb attention and menus. Maybe a little artificial to mix ancient aztec rituals with an Egyptian pyramid, Hindu sculptures and chineese Budas. Our room was really...

Highly recommended. Who stay at this hostal are seeking for peace, meditation and quiet. No children under 16 years are admitted. It's a different place because it was chosen by the Dalai Lama as one of the "places of peace" in the world. The hostal has a monument offered by him. The hotel has various holistic activities and I enjoyed...

This resort is dedicated to the holistic renewal of body and spirit. I'm not much into a shaman and smoky rituals but I can vouch for for a great pool to relax by with a good supply of Negro Modelo's while the wife enjoyed a temazcal sweat treatment and as she tells me a fantastic massage. We were there with...
