We stayed on Holbox because we wanted something quiet and restful. Casa Las Tortugas delivered perfectly! Our room was clean, unique, and lovely; we were provided mosquito nets, handmade soaps, and natural toiletries. The staff at the restaurant/bar was professional and friendly; we loved popping in for meals and an afternoon drink. We lazed on the hotel's beach, outfitted with...

This was our 4th stay at Casa Las Tortugas, and our best ever. Last year's construction has absolutely transformed this charming hotelito without losing any of its personal touch or friendly family-run vibe. Their new bar/restaurant is instantly one of the best on the island, with its complimentary breakfast a daily treat. The new pool area is beautiful, and the...

My boyfriend and I had an amazing amazing wonderful trip here. The hotel surpassed our expectations. This was my boyfriend's first trip out of the U.S. and I am so glad that we didn't go to an all inclusive resort in Cancun. I have traveled all over the world and this is by far one of my favorite places. Holbox...

My friend and I planned this trip to swim with the whale sharks and I can not express our delight with this hotel and Isla Holbox. The Hotel is clean, well maintained, new, and quiet. The design, architecture and decor is beautiful, tasteful, and deluxe. The hotel staff were so pleasant and accomodating. The food is fresh, organic and well...

What do you want to hear about? The amazing beach? The delicious food? The beautiful rooms? The adorable staff? The great massages? The relaxing atmosphere? The swimming pool? Honestly, there is nothing to say about Casa las Tortugas except: "Go there! Now!" We enjoyed every minute of our stay and dream only about one thing: going back! :-)

My husband and I stayed with another couple at Casa las Tortugas July 9-16. This was our second stay. I’m happy to say that not only were all of things we loved about this place still there, but they managed to add a few more. Our transfer to and from went as seamlessly as last year. Somehow on our way...

This trip had the potential for disaster! The hotel had trouble finding our deposits, the room we booked was too warm, and the boat we had reserved for our Whale Shark tour was given to another family on the day we were planning to go out..... But even after all of that, this little hotel and its staff had us...

You know all the pictures that folks have uploaded? It looks even BETTER than that. I promise! What I loved: 1) Gorgeous hotelito: it's obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into the look and feel of Casa las Tortugas. The staff does a FANTASTIC job of keeping everything picture perfect. 2) The beach: again, props to the...

We spent a few days at Holbox and Casa las Tortugas in June with intent to see the whalesharks. What a beautiful and tranquil place! Upon entering the hotelito you are surrounded by beautiful gardens, lovely architecture and friendly staff. It is constructed from natural and beautiful materials with exceptional attention to detail - think upscale swiss family robinson! Please...
