We stayed here for one night in our campervan but could easily have stayed another night! The whole setup is really unique and interesting - the cottages looked good as well! Really nice to have some indoor space for us to cook and relax after being on the road for a while, with sofas and a BBQ etc. The owners...

We stayed one night with our little daughter and she loved the animals. The host family is very friendly as were the other camping guests. We also enjoyed the outdoor cooking. Toilets and showers are very clean.

I found out about Waitomo Farmstay while browsing for farmstays in New Zealand for my trip. Based on the very reasonable price and reviews, I booked for five adults to stay in Cottage 1. A few weeks before my arrival, the farmstay website could not be accessed and when my first email to check on this went un-answered, I became...

We stayed in a holiday cottage and were very surprised at the large amount of space! It was reasonably clean and the large amount of breakfast supplies (milk, eggs, cereals, bread, spreads) were much appreciated. We loved visiting the animals! The bed in the master bedroom was not the most comfortable and the sheets could be replaced with something more...

You get to participate in feeding the animals. We were lucky because there was a bunch of suckling pigs and they were so cute!! Recommend the horse rides if you've never rode before!! Very friendly owners. Very quiet and conforting place to rest

The Farmstay is well located and very nice cosy home style, and hospitable host. It feels like home and breakfast cooking is fun. The children enjoyed the animal feeding in the morning. The Waitomo water rides and glow worm caves experience was memorable too.

My family and I enjoyed a pleasant 2D1N stay in a comfortable cottage with very friendly owners. As we have been city dwellers all our lives, being in a traditional farm style home with an outdoor patio and rustic furnishing truly took us away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. We also appreciated the freedom to roam the farm...

We started our family holiday at Waitomo Farmstay. While we only had one night there, it was comfortable and clean. Breakfast provisions were also included and we couldn't eat it all. That is saying something with 2 teenage boys. Thanks Narita for making us welcome.

We loved our one night stay in time-trippy Cottage 2. Lovely friendly welcoming hosts and cosy comfy house that had all we needed plus plentiful breakfast goodies. Plus the delightful critters to visit and feed, splendid outlook and conveniently near Waitomo caves.

We found this place on the app Campermate and decided to stop by to see if they had room for our tent, which luckily enough they did. We stayed for one night only as we were heading out to Waitomo glow worm caves early in the morning. The close proximity to the caves was one of the factors as to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Waitomo Farmstay and Gardens was started in October 2011 when we recognised that not everyone looking for Waitomo accommodation was a thrill seeker! Waitomo Farmstay and Gardens is a family owned business, and has something for everyone. Waitomo Farmstay is the perfect spot to make your base during your stay in the King Country. Our large and comfortable rustic cottage has lovely country views, and the farm tour we offer our guests is sure to entertain. Because we are are situated only a short car ride from the world famous Glow Worm Caves, and the townships of Otorohanga and Te Kuiti it makes sense that you should book your stay at our Waitomo Farmstay and Gardens today! If you are just passing through the King Country be sure to come and see our Gardens which are currently under development. We are slowly gathering a collection of vintage farm machinery and other items of interest which we plan to showcase amongst the trees and flowers of our gardens. We gladly accept any suggestions, donations, or voluntary work - and are more than happy to acknowledge this within the gardens. We cater to all ages - so why not pack a picnic and take some time to meet our friendly animals and take a gentle stroll around our gardens. We look forward to meeting you! ... more   less
