A group of three of us contacted Palm Court very last minute for a room. There was one room and they offered a great price. The hosts were also more than happy to wait up for us as we were a late arrival. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable, and the location was fantastic for the glow worm...

Very simple place but had everything we needed and was very keen. The people running helped us heaps and reommened some excellent free natural sites. A beautiful waterfall and a natural tunnel. Quite spectacular. I love it when the hospitality staff are exactly that

The guy I booked the room through months in advance over the phone was a lovely and accommodating bloke (Lawrence). However when we arrived for the weekend a couple who were the owners the motel were there and they were anything but accommodating. I found them somewhat inhospitable and awkward to talk to, as if they were bothered and put...

Stayed 2 nights for NZ$258 via booking.com. Expensive compared to other similar motels in NZ in winter. Something around or below NZ$200 would be more reasonable, but no other choices of motel in the centre of Otorohanga. About 5 mins walk from the centre of Otorohanga. Almost directly opposite supermarket. Free temporary membership to Otorohanga Club, about 200 metres away...

We were very tired when we arrived. The managers greeted us warmly, and made us feel very welcome. They were able to suggest restaurants to have dinner, and arranged for a local restaurant to deliver a take away to our motel. We had two bedrooms which were very clean, with a lounge and kitchenette. The bathroom was roomy and clean....

My husband and I needed a place to stay one night that was near Waitomo Caves, on our way to Taupo. The Palm Court served our needs well. Staff was very friendly and helpful, starting with giving us final directions by telephone and signaling to find the place. It turned out we were within eyesight, so he waved us over....

The manager was lovely!! I don't know what the last review was about! We had a great chat and he gave us recommendations to best places to eat in town. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower was good pressure. Wifi was excellent. There was also a location film scout there who also said he prefers...

We were booked into the Otorohanga & Waitomo Motels, I had the emails and confirmation papers in hand, signed and dated by their now ex- manager. The motel showed no booking for me and my travelling partners and no available rooms. After consulting with the present owners of O & W Motels, the temporary receptionist phoned the Palm Court Motel...

“We got room (9) - didn't get much road noise at all. No A/C - but the pedestal fan was sufficient for airflow and comfort. We did shut the bathroom window as well as the other room's window's and door. With one of the side windows open in the lounge area.”
