We've stayed at the chateau during our Dordogne trip and we've regret it already at the time of arrival that we only stayed for two nights there! Albert, the owner, was so nice and told as a lot about the history of the place. Great property, well maintained, spacious rooms, beautiful ground - just everything you need for a perfect...

Perhaps the best reason to stay here is simply to see the property. It was in one family the Legardes from the 14th century until WW2. It was a German officers HQ. It owned masses of land in the Pude valley which it drained and no doubt had a pinnacle of "wealth" around that time. Arriving, even on a grey...

Very pleasant stay. Well maintained 16th century Chateau full of charm set in beautifully maintained grounds. We stayed in a spacious double bedroom, Bright, comfortable and very quiet with superb views of the surrounding countryside. Good continental breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the kindness of Albert the owner.

Amazing building with loads of charm and character. The room we stayed in was really really spacious complete with 4-poster bed. Albert was friendly and helpful and looked after us well. The highlight for us was the quiet location and beautiful grounds.

Beautiful surroundings, incredibly helpful hosts, nothing was too much trouble in order to make the occasion something special and a day to remember . The food was excellent, close family and some local friends and three grandchildren who had the freedom of the gardens and to round the day off the weather was just perfect for alfresco dining under an...

We were attending a wedding at the Chateau (which was excellent), and we thought with an 18month toddler we would stay there for 2 weeks! Albert and Abi were both great and the booking stage, as we e-mailed back and forth with questions etc. The Chateau was amazing, Abi's food was fantastic, and very conisderate to out own likes etc!...
