My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Otro Lado. Every detail at Otro Lado is thoughtful and inviting - from the beautiful gardens, to the hammocks by the yoga deck, to the fresh tropical flower in our room. The breakfasts were simple, delicious and healthy. Everyone is kind and easy-going, and very helpful when it came to assistance...

If you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy the pool and have a little cocktail in the afternoon, do yourself a favour and AVOID this place. The first hour of our stay we were informed by the owners that we were not allowed to bring any beverages to the pool (even cans or plastic bottles) which was kind...

In the midst of mud, dust and bumpy roads there is a little gem of a hotel/restaurant called OtroLado. Once you walk up the driveway off the main road you enter a beautiful little paradise. My daughter recently got married in Montezuma and my family and I spent 10 days here while in Santa Teresa. Rooms were very clean, breakfast...

As all reviewers have shared, this is a clean, friendly oasis in a town with the worst dirt roads in Costa Rica. The rooms are nice and thoughtfully laid out. The hotel is next to a youth hostel so there was some music at night, but not loud enough to keep us awake. The two floor villas have kitchens and...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, Nov 1-4 by chance. The hotel we booked was closed when we arrived and we were directed to Otro Lado. We stayed in a double room the first night and upgraded to a villa when it became available. We were able to cook a meal in the kitchen and eat alfresco...

This was the BEST place we stayed in Costa Rica. The town was a bit of a challenge to get to, but so worth it! Very peaceful, great pool, nice rooms, awesome breakfast, relaxing! Close walk to the beach and necessities. Definitely recommended!

My boyfriend and I enjoy our two nights staying at this hotel. It's boutique, but the details of the common area, pool and rooms were perfect. The pool was small, but beautiful decorated, some rooms had hammocks. Everything about this place is peaceful. They provide a simple, local breakfast. The pets in the area are friendly, and don't cause harm....

I have recently made a reservation at the hotel. I read the reviews and this was the hotel we wanted to stay most. But we already booked for a flight to Liberia, not knowing it would have been better to get there from San Jose. So, I asked the travel agency to cancel our reservation and discovered it didn't allow...

We had a room with small balcony, fridge and AC. Room cleaned and towels changed every day. The hotel has a central living room area, swimming pool and yoga area, just to mention we were not able to enjoy them fully as there was a private yoga convention being held during our stay. Staff is really nice.

What a great hotel. Pretty grounds, very nice rooms, pool and grounds. Otro Lado Lodge and Restaurant has a really great restaurant that feels more like eating at your family's patio. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely I would book there again on my next visit! Highly recommended.
