We are a couple with a 4 year old girl and and 6 year old boy - I am writing this very much from a young family's perspective :) Starting with the positives. The little dome house is PERFECT for a self catering family holiday. The design of the Dome is very clever - the spaces are well thought out... More

Sitting in the bar, grasshoppers singing in the evening as it quickly transcends from purple into a smooth darkness, landlord Ridrigo preparing the restaurant and bar decorations, putting out the pastel coloured lights and hooking up the portable loudspeaker to commence its’ soft calypso club beat filling the warm air. Sucking in the cold zest of the tropical fruit smoothie... More

As a chilean, always want to see chilean owners restaurants, and say hellow. I did, had a nice bottle of chilean wine, a great stake, and a better conversation with the owners. The menu was great, focus on quality, nice pisco sauer, desserts. Got to go.

I was in Santa Teresa in march of 2014 with my girlfriend. We are from Brazil and we had the best time at Alma and at Santa Teresa. We find this place by chance and definitely was the best place we stayed and by far the best restaurant we went in Costa Rica! I heard that even Gisele Bundchen passed... More

After 10 days in Costa Rica I can definitely say that we had our best dinner at Alma!! For appetizer we've ordered snook ceviche (that was the fish of the day) in a passion fruit sauce that was the best ceviche we've had! Really. Then ordered 4 entrees that each of them was fantastic. Best entree was the pineapple seafood... More

I had two meals at the restaurant and they were both excellent quality, not just another restaurant, but somewhere all the dishes were special. On my first visit I had the fish of the day (Mama Mia), cooked to perfection and the second visit the Thai red chicken curry. On both occasions one of my friends had the Tuna sushi... More

I stayed there for 3 weeks, and I definitely didn't want to go. Beautiful and cosy domos, surrounded of the most amazing nature. In front of the best beach of Sta Teresa. Delicious food, including fresh Tuna and the best and family ambient. I definitely will be back in ALMA.

Alma means Soul and I can say without a doubt that I left mine there! It was no wonder I wanted to go back the minute I left, but no worries, I will return! The hotel we had originally booked had only room for 3 people and we were going to be 4 now that I had decided to meet... More
