My bf and I went to Santa Teresa to experience real Costa Rica, real food, real wildlife, real beach and no tourists. Milarepa was the perfect place. There are only a few "rooms" on the property maybe 6-8 and the rooms are actually beautifully-built little bungalows with everything you need inside including a 4 poster bed made from beautiful hard...

We chose Milarepa as a hotel and venue for our wedding, and although we are not the type of people to let bad service and lousy hotel rooms ruin our vacation, it must be said that this place is not worth the price they charge. 1. The hostess / manager is very rude. You know when someone smiles at you...

If you are truly looking for a tropical getaway from the hustle and bustle of big resort towns just to relax then this is your paradise on the beach of beautiful Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The unique Cabins are quite exotic with the open air bathroom and shower area. The windows and doors provide a lovely sea breeze day and night....

The price is high for what you get. The place is great and bungalows are really nice too. Be prepare to go to the bathroom and watch the monkeys while you are there! The con of all these is that the place is really dirty, and full of dust, they don't seem to take cleaning seriously. One of the nights,...

The Milarepa is a truly special place in Santa Teresa. Very peaceful and with wonderful energy, partly due to its beautiful location in front of a small beach cove and partly because of the simple yet tasteful decor. My husband and I had our wedding celebration in Milarepa with a full catering from SOMA and absolutely every single one of...

My wife and I got married at Milarepa in January and it is gorgeous. The setting is perfect close enough to town to get what you need but far enough away that you don't hear Santa Teresa or feel the dust from the road. Absolutely beautiful

We stayed in bungalow #4, the closest to the beach. It was heavenly to hear the waves crashing just outside our little porch area. Staff at the hotel is super friendly and helpful. Because we were there during the rainy season, we had the place practically to ourselves. They arranged yoga, massage, and surfing lessons for us, gave us great...

If all you want is paradise by the beach, this is a great choice. It's very small, so totally relaxing, with great breakfasts, a beautiful pool, nice design, fun staff and an idyllic beach. The restaurant has a different chef in the evening, and it goes a bit posher, but does so successfully. But... it does feel like they get...

We stayed for nine days in February and it was truly in my top three holidays ever. The setting and the rooms are without fault - simplicity perfectly captured. The grounds, the rooms, the location, the menu in the restaurant - all these things are pared back to a level that exudes a quiet confidence in the quality of what's...

Our visit was during the off-season, many stores were closed but there was still plenty to do. After a 6 hour bus/ferry ride, we arrived to find clean quarters, open air bathroom and a spectacular beachfront view! Breakfast, lunch and dinner was served on our open balcony with plenty of wildlife to keep you company (lizards and howler monkeys mostly),...
