We stayed at the little annex on the first floor in aroom which was decorated in a typical French way. The room had a small salon, bathroom and seperate toilet. Still it was a bit crampy and full with furniture. I think if they would paint the place in nice pastels and whites it would feel more spacious. Everything was...

One of my all time favourite places and while it is expensive you get a return for your money in terms of beautiful surroundings, great service, plush and luxurious rooms, wonderful atomosphere and on the edge of a lovely little french village. We arrived in time for lunch on the beautful terrace shaded by trees looking out onto manicured lawns....

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful. It is a great place from which to explore places such as Sarlat, Domme & the Dordogne river. It is also somewhere you can just chill out. The food was fabulous and I would recommend the Menu du Marché in the Gourmet restaurant in the week. The Bistro was a...

We stayed here for the first two nights of our Backroads Dordogne/Bordeaux Bike trip. We loved the hotel. The room we had was beautiful. Great linens, bathroom (wonderful separate bath tub). The room opened onto the gardens, which are beautiful. The pool is delightful. The restaurant is a two star michelin restaurant, and the meal we had was wonderful. Some...

What a splendid place. From the moment we arrived in the reception area with it's smell of wood-smoke and comfy chairs, we were utterly cosseted. Our room was huge and very luxorious. the bathroom was a bit old-fashioned but spotless with fluffy towels and robes. Tremolat is tiny and a lot of the houses are holiday homes and as we...

My husband and I travelled here in December from Barcelona. The weather was very cozy-cloudy/rainy. The plus of being here in the off season was that the rates were very low-the downside was that not a lot of things were open. The hotel was very nice and we had 2 delicious dinners at the bistro across the street. Very quiet...

The finest food I have ever tasted in the one of most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in with service second to none and all set in the most glorious of surroundings. My wife and I spent the happiest four days imaginable here. If you can afford to splash out on a larger room do as the smaller ones...

We spent three nights in this beautiful Relais & Chateaux in Tremolat. The grounds are exquisite and the lush setting is a haven of peace and quiet, the stuff of fairy tales. The Michelin-starred restaurant is wonderful as is the hotel-affiliated restaurant 'en face', which is just as popular and offers an excellent cuisine bourgeoise in a cadre on the...

We stayed at Le Vieux Logis several years ago -- and it still has the same pluses and minuses. On the plus side, the grounds are lovely, the buildings are interesting and authentic, and the restaurant dinners are very good. Tea or drinks on the back terrace is a great way to end an afternoon. On the negative side, rooms...

We spent one night at this hotel in a suite (number 25) which cost us 280 euros. Both bedroom and sitting room smelled so badly of damp that I hardly slept at all. It was indescribably bad. Because we were on the ground floor we couldn't even air the room during the night by opening the windows. To top it...
