Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I spent 3.5 weeks at this campsite and loved every minute of it. It is so peaceful and quiet. Most of the time all you can hear are the birds and the frogs. Excellent facilities. I was close to shower and toilet block number 2, which looks like it had been recently renovated and was exceptionally clean and tidy.
The pitch was enormous. I had a caravan, full size awning and a sun shade on the other side of the caravan, could still park my car with plenty of .
room to spare.
I was looking onto the river so woke up to a view of the Dordogne every morning, which is incredible.
I came for fishing and was not disappointed when I landed an enormous catfish in the first week.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome.
I would go back in a heartbeat. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

A long, narrow site along the bank of the river. Easy access to the river for boating and swimming. Good size, shady pitches.

There are several toilet/shower/washing up blocks, but some of these are in need of renovation (eg. some missing wall tiles). The water was not especially hot.

There is a good pool with plenty to keep adults and children happy, and a small bar. There are also numerous, generously sized sports areas for football, tennis, etc.

Absolutely beautiful site and stunning views of the Dordogne.
Super friendly staff and large pitches with electricity.

The site had just been taken over by new owners so didn’t have everything up and running however this didn’t have any impact on our stay. The hot water wasn’t connected for showers so they provided us with a chalet to use which were really lovely.

Would definitely return and once the new owners have everything in place I’m sure it will be even better!

It depends on what you want, but if you are looking for a beautifull setting, large emplacement and piece and quiet, this is a perfect spot (out of season at least). Don't be too demanding on the cleaniness though, because the only showerblock that was open at that moment was not very clean. But the water was nice and hot, the staff very friendly (although not present when I arrived, but don't blame them, since I was nearly the only customer).
It's right on the riverbank and very close to the tiny town (only 3 restaurants and 2 bakeries).

Fantastic holiday at bassin nautique! The site is excellent, lovely shade for the tent (or mobile home), plenty of sunny areas when it's wanted. Large pitches with electricity and water on hand. Amazing to be so close to the river edge! - beautiful! The sunsets were stunning every night. The sanitary facilities were very good, plenty of hot water ( took a little time to arrive!) and spotlessly cleaned every day. Very friendly staff on site. The village of Tremolet is right on hand with lovely places to eat or sit and have a drink. Loved, loved, loved it!!

This campsite has possibly one of the best locations around. Situated on the banks of the River Dordogne. If you are camping or caravaning then make sure you request a river side pitch. The wash facilities are average, this is the only area of the campsite that needs improving! The campsite is only a couple of minutes walk away from the beautiful village of Tremolat, with its great pizzeria! Worth a visit if your camping!
