Fabulous location.... But ghastly guy on reception, made us feel unwelcome. Put us on the very top floor in a very ordinary room with small window. We paid for a top room, but this it what we got. No shower, just an awkward bath. low beams all over the attic room and yes I kept

I spent two nights here in October. My room had a large terrace overlooking the Seine and one of the locks. Rooms are not large but definitely adequately-sized. The location of La Domaine is its selling point. There are many levels of terraces overlooking the river with lots of

On our first visit we stayed in "the Annex" across the road (poor room) and ate in the main restaurant (excellent meal). On our second we stayed in the main hotel (good room) but the restaurant was closed and we ate in the Bistro (poor meal). This time we were put in

This is not a cheap hotel, and you will see lots of photos of the beautiful Seine to whet your appetite before making a booking. Unfortunately, it is not made clear that only a few rooms overlook the river, and the other rooms are distinctly average (someone has said like a

We stayed here to break a journey travelling home from the Dordogne and it was lovely. Although our room was not overlooking the river, it was clean, comfortable and very good value for the price paid. The bed was huge and we slept very well. The room was quiet and clean

Yes. The suite we reserved had a fold out couch. Our boys (12 and 10) slept there comfortably.

Yes I think they have rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. If you have a look at their website You can see what is on offer. The hotel has extensive grounds an outdoor and indoor pool. Free bikes etc. Prices vary a lot from day to day. Last minute deals via their website seem to be the best value. They also have a special family package.

It's a reasonable drive, one hour and a half or so, depending upon rush hour traffic, protest marches, and how many times you stop for snacks and bathroom breaks. We had a comfortable drive and also drove from the hotel to Honfleur and back in one day. Find a good car park in Paris and then use the Metro in the city. It's easy and will save your feet some blisters (keep in mind from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower is a good two to three mile walk- 5K is what they say but you'll wander when you see some of the city's other great tourist sites you want to visit). The Metro is easy to use and the people we ran into were very helpful with directions. Have a great trip!

"The main hotel, do not accept substitutes."
"Keep the patios doors closed or your neighbours will kill you with cigarette smoke !!"
"Pay extra for a view of the Seine"
"We were upgraded to a room overlooking the Seine which was a bonus. Our room was large enough but not enormous."
"Views from deluxe room 33 are amazing. It would have been even better with a walk in shower rather than a hand held shower on the bath."
