Wonderful 4 nights staying here, just what we expected and more reading the reviews. Owners were very friendly and looked after us very well. Room had everything we needed and comfortable. The breakfasts were great for us and what a setting! Well worth climbing up the tower to see the views over the lake. Also had a very peaceful morning...

Everything was excellent here. The Chateau is owned by a family, which were always very kind and helpful. The breakfast was home-made with a nice personal touch - we were pretty much alone at the large table in the dining room. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of lavender fields if you arrive at the right time...

Had the delight of staying at Chateau d'Esparron in early September while on a driving tour of France. Arrived after a long day of driving to find an authentic chateau and delightful hosts. Charlotte and Bernard were very welcoming and the experience of staying in an original chateau was superb. Our room was lovely and even more enjoyable after the...

The Chateau has been maintained, renovated and cared for incredibly well. The rooms are traditional, simple but ever so exquisite. The service was the highlight, the owners were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating (to our every need) - Brilliant local knowledge, hints and tips unknown to any other hotelier in the area. Would and will recommend without reservation to anyone...

My only regret was having only spent 1 night at this property. Bernard and Charlotte were warm and generous hosts with great recommendations for sights in the area. The room was everything i had envisaged of a "castle" and so much more, from the comfiest bed and pillows in my 6 weeks of travel to the claw-foot bathtub. Location wise,...

As we spent the week driving throughout Provence, our one night stay at Chateau d'Esparron was for certain, one of the highlights of the trip! I had never stayed in a "castle" before, and can only say that not only was it amazing, but going forward, if I ever have the opportunity to do so again, I would jump at...

A hidden gem on a mountain up a windy road with clear water lake, warm hospitality by the owners, we felt like their guests and not just visitors during our stay. Authentic chateau close to lavender and sunflower fields. We would return and stay longer next time!

Chateau d'Esparron is not a hotel per-say (don't expect hotel's amenities and therefore it's a bit difficult to compare it to a hotel, it felt very homey), it is a lovely bed-and-breakfast run by a very nice family in a wonderful part of Provence.. The meadow in front if a castle is picture perfect, I've tried taking many pictures, none...

Cannot recommend this highly enough as a base for visiting the Verdon region. You feel you are spending time in a real 14th century chateau rather than in a 'hotel within a chateau' since this is a home first and foremost. The views over the lake are gorgeous - the rooms are huge and comfortable and the hosts are all...

We only stayed one night, managing to get a room on the day, but it was a real highlight. The Chateau is in a prominent elevated position in this cute, tiny Provencal village on the shores of Lac D'Esparron. It is a building steeped in history, with original sections dating from the thirteenth century. The rooms are all unique, located...
