We returned after our first visit in 2019. We were welcomed as good friends and Efi was as charming, kind and helpful as ever. The appartment, with its lovely views, was first class, cleaned perfectly on a daily basis by Lola, a lovely Albanian lady. On many occasions, we had the pool to ourselves, which is also kept very clean. There are numerous super restaurants in the old part of Platanias, where Esthisis is situated. Cretan customer service continues to be first class with a genuine interest shown in customers. The lower town area is also good, with plenty of shops of all types and a bus service to Chania. The beach contains plenty of tavernas and two loungers can be acquired for the day at 7 Euro for 2. We also enjoyed another visit on the Little Fun Train and a new experience on the Hop on Hop Off Bus in Chania. The Esthisis Suites are something special and continue to demonstrate Cretan Customer Service at its best. Efi and her team are to be applauded.…

We spent 2 weeks in a one bedroom apartments on the upper terrace (301, I think), it was very well equipped, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was OK but could do with renovating. There are a few restaurants close to the apartments and lots more down the hill in the main part of Platanias.

Just spent 2 weeks with my family here. Wonderful apartments in a perfect location. Spotless rooms which have all you need in. Very tidy pool and plenty of beds. Had the pool to ourselves most of the time. Staff are very helpful and will sort out anything you need. Simply perfect for a family vacation!

This accommodation is the best self catering apartment I have stayed in. We were a family of 6 and the room was perfect, we had a 3 bedroom apartment. There are two rooms upstairs and one smaller bedroom downstairs that can be for 2 with an extra bed. The room/pool etc was spotless. the views from our apartment were amazing and not shown enough in the hotel photos as we could see all across the town and the sea. The hosts are extremely helpful and cannot do enough for you. The location was perfect as it is between the main strip of bars/shops/restaurants and old Platanias. It’s about 10 mins walk from the beach, the beach is grey sand and pebbles so not the prettiest but very clean and well equipped. The sea can be rough here at times. For a calmer pretty beach visit Iguana beach near Chania which is only 3 miles. …

Esthisis Family, thank you so much for a beautiful stay in Crete. My partner and I highly recommend staying here, the apartments are spacious and extremely clean thanks to Lola! It has everything you’d want and need for an ideal holiday apartment. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and nothing is too much hassle for them. Efi kindly booked us an excursion to Balos Lagoon which was beautiful - a must see! The apartment is situated on a hill so you can see some lovely sunsets too. Thank you again for a beautiful week, we will definitely be returning ❤️

This was our second time staying at Esthisis Suites. As the kids were now 3 years older and teenagers, we stayed in a 3 bedroom Maisonette - last time 2 bedrooms was enough! Just like last time, the property is a super base to explore West Crete. Situated in Upper Platanias it is off the main strip so quiet at night but only a couple of minutes walking downhill to the main strip and Platanias beach. Walking uphill is a bit tougher but good way to get some exercise. Upper Platanias has all the great family restaurants so most of the eating out was done near the property - there are too many to mention but great choice - they were all a bit more expensive than last time we were here but still very competitive compared to prices at home in Dublin. The facilities at Esthisis are superb and provide everything needed - amazing balcony views of Platanias bay to watch sun rise and set, fully equipped kitchen (ground coffee machine a saviour for me), big comfy sofa, airconditioning throughout and the place was spotless and so comfortable. Daily clean towel and cleaning service is nearly too much - but shows the attention and pride Efi and her husband place on the property which is just gleaming all the time. Beach towels also provided for use at the spotlessly clean swimming pool (or to take to the beach!) - the pool was never too busy as property is not very big and has really nice loungers and shower facility. The team working at the property are all so courteous and helpful and says something when the team has the same people from 3 years before. Lola who cleaned our apartment every day always a smile and never intruded unless we left for the day or we waved her to come in. Efi is a truly lovely person and wants to ensure everyones holiday is perfect - she goes out of her way to make sure needs are met and we could see that not just for ourselves but for others. The complimentary home made lemon drizzle cake, bottle of wine and water on arrival some of the many lovely touches. We want to thank Efi and the team for giving us the perfect base for our first family holiday away post pandemic - our plan is hopefully to return again!…

We spent a week here in July 2022. The owner greeted us and gave us all the information needed for our stay. The apartments are superbly appointed, large and with air conditioning in every room. We had 3 balconies overlooking the pool and sea. Its very close to the beach and shops, yet set back, slightly up the hill towards the old town. The hill isn't particularly steep and only 5 mins walk. The restaurants in the old town are incredible and all family owned. Cleaners come in every day. Rooms left spotless. Cannot fault the apartments, would love to return.

Where can I start…. We haven’t been since covid struck the world but what a fantastic place to stay as a couple as we did and now as a family of four ! From the moment we were welcomed by the lovely Effie until the moment we left we were made to feel welcome, all the staff are so smiley it instantly puts you at ease. The suites are modern ‘very’ clean and comfortable. Located up a slight hill between the lively strip and some excellent restaurant at the top.

We’ve stayed at Esthisis for a week. The staff is nice, welcoming and very helpful! The apartments is clean, spacious and has a nice balcony/terrace where you can watch the sunset. Location is also perfect, only a few minutes walk from platanias square. Highly reccomend this place :)
