On arrival the check in was easy and the staff were very informative. The room was very spacious and spotless. We arrived late so were very pleased in the morning to see we had a large balcony with a great view. There was a really good choice at breakfast, we never struggled to find something to eat. We ate at the pool bar a couple of times and the food was good. Always plenty of sunbeds and towels provided but the pool was chilly. The location is perfect, 10 minute walk to Fira, 20 minute walk to Imerovigli and the 3 bells of Fira and the Caldera are just up a small hill out the front of the hotel. The only things that let this hotel down are we had no tea/coffee facilities in our room, no bar in the evening and one miserable member of staff at the pool bar. The rest of the staff and especially the cleaners were amazing. Would we stay again? Yes…

Beautiful hotel in Fireostefani. Right across the road you have great views of the Caldera. Spotlessly clean hotel with great housekeeping, front of house and bar staff. They make excellent cocktails at the pool bar and most nights we came back here for a few. The hotel is within walking distance of Fira. Would definitely recommend this hotel and if we return to Santorini in the future it's here we will stay.

This is a very special hotel. Located a short walk to the heart of town…this place is a gem. Clean, modern, elegant and outstanding service. We had the good fortune to be given a room with a private pool. We could see the sunrise by the pool and watch the sunset across the road from the hotel lobby. The buffet breakfast had an amazing selection and we couldn’t ask for anything more. The location of the hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to town. Several great places to dine are nearby. This place is incredible and very memorable.

Our travel agent booked this hotel. It is close to walk to shopping and restaurants in Fira, however if you are expecting the views like in the post cards forget it as the hotel is on the other side of the ridge looking away from the sunset and rise. We are here currently with absolutely no view, only a concrete wall. If you insist on staying be very careful what room you choose and you may get a sea view if you insist on one. Feeling a little disappointed so far on this stay.

We have just stayed here for a week and we we’re very impressed. The hotel is very well presented and is in a great location. The rooms are a good size, are very well appointed and were very clean. Towels were changed daily and the facilities, pool, bar, restaurant etc were all excellent. There was a large and varied selection of good quality food at breakfast and excellent food available all day from the pool bar. Finally the staff were friendly and welcoming. If we have any criticism it would be regarding the availability of late check out given that flights back to the UK, in particular to Manchester, are just before midnight. That said despite an 11am checkout our cases were kept in a store room on the day of departure and we had full use of all of the facilities including showers up until our departure. Would definitely book this hotel again…

We stayed 4 nights in a suite at the Santorini Palace Hotel. Our room was great and it was definitely worth the additional cost to get a bigger room with a nice outlook. Everything is in walking distance to the hotel. It is very close to the restaurant and shopping areas of Fira and Firostefani. There are great restaurants 5 minutes walk from the hotel. One of our favourite meals was located 2 minutes walk away at an authentic Greek Restaurant Aktaion. The caldera promenade is only 2 minutes from the hotel and is a great way to start the day. The hotel pool is very nice and there were always plenty of sun loungers available. There was a wide range of food at the breakfast buffet. Our room was serviced each day with clean towels provided although a little bit more attention to detail would have been good. Would stay here again.…

Just back from an amazing stay at the Santorini Palace Hotel. One of the best hotels we have stayed at, over 40 years travelling around Greece. We had a superior room with a pool view. Towels and bedding changed every day, toiletries replenished daily, as were the tea, coffee and milk. Large fridge in the room for for our supplies. We stayed on a B&B basis - the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The staff work tirelessly to keep the hotel clean and tidy. Reception staff were very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was memorable. I would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time during our one week holiday to Santorini. The staff are so friendly, helpful and polite. Our room was perfect; clean bedding and towels everyday, good size and great view over looking the pool as we chose a superior room with a pool view. The pool area was clean and chilled with plenty of sun beds. Breakfast was fantastic; cakes, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, hams, cheeses, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, dolmades, pies…so much choice. The pool bar served good food although a little on the pricey side. Highly recommend the strawberry daiquiri, delicious! The hotel is situated perfectly for a short walk into Fira, approx. 5 minutes. Thank you Santorini Palace for a fabulous holiday!

We have just returned from an 11 night stay here and it was brilliant. The hotel upgraded our family to a junior suite with a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were warm, friendly, welcoming and attentive. The cleaning staff in particular were fantastic - so thorough and couldn’t do enough for you. We did bed and breakfast and there is a wide range of options including fruit, pastries, cakes, cereals, hot options and cold meats. Worked really well for us as we could make up snacks for later on for the kids. The pool was great - a kids favourite and nice pool bar. Pool was busy at times ( expected in august) but we always managed to get sun beds and towels were provided by the beach bar. Hotel is well situated for great restaurants and views in Firostefani and Imerovigli where we spent most evenings for food and drinks. We walked along the caldera edge most days to Fira (around 15 mins walk with breathtaking views). Buses are very efficient but busy in August at Fira bus station - we always managed to get on the bus with no problem and cheap way to get around. Great advice provided by the hotel upon arrival and whenever we asked. Would recommend a visit to IMEROVILI (beautiful, but much less busy than Oia). Kamari was our favourite beach resort with children. Local restaurants recommended Mama Thira and Aktaion restaurants in Firostefani for stunning views great food and great staff.…

We loved this hotel. Reading some of the negative reviews on here, I can only imagine that recently, they have upgraded as we encountered nothing other than a clean, well run, friendly hotel and we had a brilliant room. We never had any issues getting sun beds, and there are four of us and we would come to the pool at different times of the day and there were always spears beds available. The breakfast is fine for what we wanted and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again any time we can back to Santorini, and can highly recommend this hotel. Great location too.
