Make no mistake this is 2 star accommodation. No reception, no bar, but that makes the experience just wonderful and very personal. Our room number 4 fully met our needs for self catering, the bathroom was the smallest we have ever experienced in Greece but modern and functional.
Sonia, as mentioned in earlier reviews was outstanding in keeping the whole establishment clean and functioning.
The pool was excellent with plenty of good sunbeds and a 2 minute walk took you into Pressia with its seafront, bars and many restaurants.
Buses from Pressia take you all over the island if you wish.
An outstanding experience. We will return.

Went there on a Jet2 package holiday so not sure what to expect. The apartment is situated in a quiet area about 4 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants and bars. We arrived at 1-30 in the morning but the owners were there to greet us and were very friendly. There is a small pool, with ample sunbeds, which was cleaned daily . The room was very clean and was cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels. The only drawback was that the beds were a bit hard,we got used to that, and we would have preferred a toaster to a sandwich maker. If we were to stay in Perissa again we would definitely stay in the Athina apartments again. A 5 star stay in a 2 star apartment

Highly recommended. Beautiful apartments. We was greeted when we arrived about midnight. Aircon and safe sorted straight away. The pool area was small, but enough for everyone there and very clean. The beds and towels was changed every day and the views was amazing. The beach, shops and restaurants was about a 5 minute walk away. If you wanted to visit another part all you needed to do was jump on a coach, which cost only €2. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The apartments are basic but spotless, clean sheets every day pool, area cleaned every day by Sonia who always seems to be around cleaning. I would not like to have the apartment number 2 again which we had this time as there was no privacy and it was very small, it faces the entrance to the complex and pool area with a small terrace to sit out on. We would return as it is so clean and quiet. Dorians is the best place for a drink and the food looks really good as well although we did not eat there, Dodos at the top end of the beach away from the cliffs is excellent, great staff and good food. The only place i would avoid would be the bar called Bobs the owner is abusive as he seems to be drunk most of the time and gets to close to the ladies touching and leaning over them which most of them found very off -putting, he swears at everyone and shouts at people passing if they do not go into his bar, some might think its funny but there are better places to go. Santorini and Perissa bay is a lovely relaxing holiday and we will try to return in the future.

Going home tonight after a wonderful relaxing week spent here. We were greeted by the owner and shown our room. We loved our room, there was a fully fitted kitchen with everything we needed. We had room 6 and the bedroom was upstairs via a spiral staircase . The beds are very comfortable even though they are firm. The pool area is kept clean and the filters are cleaned regularly. Sonia works very hard and does an amazing job. Sheets and towels changed every other day. It is a very peaceful setting and we will definitely return.

Wow! Considering these apartments are only 2 star, they get a 5 star from me. Lovely friendly staff. So helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily. Fresh towels and sheets every other day. Lovely little swimming pool. The owners met us at midnight and carried my wife's suitcase. Great quiet location but only 3 mins walk to the beach. Can't fault these apartments. Definitely definitely recommend!

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Athina Apartments. We were in room 2, which is like a little hobbits house with a quirky spiral staircase in the corner. it is probably one of the best equipped apartments that we have stayed in. It had a hair dryer, iron, sandwich toaster, small TV, towels and even tea towels. It is immaculately clean both in the apartment and all the outside area. Sonia the cleaner cleans everyday and works her socks off, in the absence of the owners who we only saw twice, on arrival and departure (if you want to leave her a tip, it's best to hand it to her personally). The pool is lovely a bit on the cool side but bearing in mind that the temperature was in the 90's it was very welcoming. As there is only eleven rooms in total we often found that we were the only ones in and had the whole place to ourselves (bliss). It's a shame that there isn't a little snack bar on site, but if you come out onto the main road and turn right there is a Taverna two minutes up the road that serves breakfast lunch and evening meals (delicious). There are plenty of bars and good restaurant just a ten minute walk away, though the walk back is up a bit of a hill, but after a couple of Ouzos dosnt seem so bad. Just a tip, although the air con costs 50€ for the week! you really will need it as it was stifling hot at night. All in all in lovely restful week. The only negative really was about Thomas Cook themselves, if you expect to see a Rep you won't unless you are prepared to hunt her out. The welcome meeting (we didn't bother) takes place at another venue and they didn't even accompany us on the coach. Instead you are left in the hands of the driver, who, although shouts out the various hotels says it in a very broad accents that left everyone a bit unsure if it was there stop or not...........but that aside I would highly recommend a visit.

I came to perissa with my mum and six year old son. My friend was getting married so throughout the resort there was almost 50 of us! Perissa itself is lovely and although we all stayed in different apartments, we were never more than 10 minutes walk from each other. At the end of sept - oct the weather was beautiful.
Athina apartments although on the edge of the resort, is a two minute walk to the beach, two minute walk to the 24 hour bakery and two minute walk to all the tavernas and shops.
We stayed in the larger rooms, with three beds upstairs and another downstairs in the living area. Our friends, a couple with a small baby, also stayed at Athina apartments. Even though all 11 apartments were full, it was very quiet and we were the only people around the pool. It was almost like a private villa. Friends in other apartments had pool bars, however, we found it an advantage that we didn't as it meant we could eat and drink what we liked from the local shop which was much cheaper!!!
The cleaner arrived early in the morning and was there until late afternoon everyday. The whole place was spotless!
This was the most relaxing but full of fun holiday I have ever had. We all loved santorini, the people, the food and the general atmosphere.

Just returned from a 2 week stay in these apartments! Excellent!! We were there 6 years ago And loved it so we hoped we were not going to be disappointed! Not a bit! The same couple greeted us and everything we remembered was the same! The cleaner is exceptional!! They are small studios and typically Greek! If you want 5 star then you have to pa for it!! It's very close to the beach and main road with lots of tavernas! Not forgetting the noddy train!! All in all a lovely place for a quuet, if you want it, holiday!! The people are lovely!!

We had experienced some issues prior to arriving at these apartments as there is no external website that we could find that gave more detail about this place. Also Thomas Cook were unable to provide more information then noted in the brochure. Based on this when we arrived we were a little unsure as to what we might discover.

Luckily for us this place was amazing! The owners greeted us from the coach and straight away lifted my suitcase on his shoulder (no mean feat as it was dead on the weight limit) and began to lead us towards the apartments. They showed us our room, no1, which is on the ground floor and immediately to the side of the pool.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, providing many things that you require for the holiday, two beds which we got moved and put together for our comfort, a TV which got BBC World News, a fridge with a small freezer compartment and some bottles of water provided on arrival, a two ring hob, sink, tea towels and washing up liquid provided, crockery and cutlery (although a strange lack of knives), pots and pans and utensils. These facilities make it easy to stick with the self catering options although with the vast array of restaurants nearby for very reasonable prices you don't have to eat in the apartment.

The bathroom was on the small size but not too cramped. The shower is hand held and the floor will become very wet, however this will dry quickly in the heat. Towels etc are changed every couple of days, there is a washing line outside every apartment to help dry them out as needed.

The cleaner attended daily and was very friendly, making sure everything was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and changing the sheets and towels every couple of days which was lovely.

The owners have other properties which they manage, but they we saw them every couple of days where they would come along and check everything was alright, cleaning the pool area from leaves etc and chatting with guests upon arrival and departure. We had a late flight home and managed to pay extra to remain in the room until our coach picked us up which led to a relaxing and pleasant last day.

The is the option to pay extra upon arrival, the safe is 10 Euro per week and we found this to be a very useful option. You also need to pay for air con, we were there in late June-early July and didn't feel we needed air con. We kept the window opened and shutters shut and found there was enough of a breeze to keep us cool. However this was a personal choice so I will let you make up your mind upon arrival.

The pool was lovely for a morning swim and plenty of sun loungers to lay around on. There is a small bookshelf for some light holiday reading and if your over the weight limit then you can always add to the collection. We found the rest of the residents to be very friendly and there was no rowdy behaviour or loud music, meaning we had a peaceful place to return to every night.

All in all this was a lovely place to stay, just far enough back from the main strip to allow for some peace and quiet at all times, yet close enough to walk down to the beach in 5 minutes or to grab a bite to eat. There is a supermarket within a half hour walk (at our leisurely pace) and next to the supermarket may be the best ever bakery that all should discover. This style of accommodation allowed us to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
