Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a sea view room and it was fine. The bed was big and comfy and there was plenty of storage space. And the sockets were in the right places (how often are they not!). There was enough hot water except on rainy or very cloudy days. The bathroom was OK. It worked. Not fashionable but it did the trick. We didn't use the breakfast facilities for reasons nothing to do with the hotel itself so I can't comment on that. Antione was really friendly and what we saw of the cleaning staff, so were they. The only let down was the pool. The photographs give the impression of a large pool. It isn't. If you wanted a pool for exercise rather than lolling about in, I think you'd be a bit disappointed but there are other pools that you can use. I would stay there again.

The good bits first. I had effective aircon, fridge, a comfortable bed and received clean line along with towels every two days. I experienced hot water most evenings except when it rained. However I did notice that the pressure reduced when more guests arrived. There are two main members of staff that you will see (only between 8am and 3 pm) and they do their best to help with queries. I found breakfast to be adequate for the type and size of the hotel which included, fruits yoghurts, jams, boiled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, toast, bread, cake, coffee, juice and water. The less good bits. The room was in the older part of the hotel, the original building by the side of the road. My door handle was a threaded bar, it seemed to be the inside mounting of a ceramic handle that will have been broken long before my arrival. The room furniture is dated and an attempt had been made to brighten it up by paining it white by hand. There was no sower curtain or wall mounting attachment for a rinse. The shower tray/Greek bath had a moulded basin to stand in and a seating area, it was bizarre and uncomfortable but got the job done. A standard shower tray is much safer and more comfortable to use. I did not notice anyone attending the bar during the day, this was probably because the small equilateral triangle pool isn't used very much and didn't really seem that inviting. Overall this wasn't good value for money and I wont stay there again. However if you are tempted to stay ask fir photos of the room that you have been allocated. If the owner can't/won't stump up for a new door handle it sets expectations really low that any investment has been made.

A short walk from the beach, a quiet hotel on the main street. The hotel complex consists of 3 buildings, in the main building there is a bar and breakfast room downstairs, behind the building there is a small swimming pool with sunbathing chairs. the hotel itself is in good condition, the rooms are in retro style and would need a little repair (the refrigerator door link was stuck with one screw, the water pipe of the toilet pot was dripping, some lights in the room were not lit), otherwise it was quiet to stay at night and there was no noise. The breakfast was poor, perhaps you had to go relatively at the opening time so that things didn't run out, on a couple of days the coffee was transparent, perhaps very, very weak. But for those who only want to stay overnight and move around the island during the day, the village and hotel are perfectly suitable, there are plenty of taverns and cafes nearby, the beach is rocky and the water is mostly pebble. The water gets deep very quickly, so the area is not recommended for small children.

I have enjoyed my holiday so far - and lucky to have the moust of It ahead! I have slept fine here - heard the smoothing waves. Bed is marwellous. The sheets feel silky and towels are the most softier ever! At the breakfast they serve fresh bread, coffee, fruits and crecian joughurt with honey - and much more. There is renovation going on at The hotel, for example my room was newly painted. The situation is perfect.

Stayed in the specific hotel for one night only. However, i managed to check what i needed in order to write this review. We had a room with a very small balcony on the sea side. We slept with the sound of the waves, which is one of my favorite things in the whole world. Beds where ok i guess, cannot totally comment on this as i stayed for only one night. I did not eat breakfast but saw the buffet. Seemed average (or a bit above average as we are speaking about a small hotel) but ok for me. Very close to the beach and Petra center! Worth a visit!

This place can only be used as an alternative to sleeping at the beach or in the car. The rooms are begging for a decent standard. The mouldy air conditioner gives you no comfort at night. I would avoid all together. No vacation should be this miserable. The two stars go to the staff who are helpful, though seemingly unaware of the low low standard of their working environment.

We visited Michaelia hotel in august 2018 The town Petra is small, calm and offers a food & restaurant life with fair beaches. Perfekt for a family with younger children or for those of us that just whant to relax. We lived in Michaelia hotel that is located near the restaturant street. The hotel is clean, has all basic functions and a pool that we used frequently. The showers ar small, the rooms are small but everything is keept tidy. The breakfirst is not the best but it works.
