This is simply an amazing place! It's set up as a little village, no high buildings. Food at the pool bar is great, with a view over the sea and Petra. The best part of this hotel is the staff who are VERY friendly and helpful. A true gem straight at the sea.

We stayed in Anaxos 8 years previously & walked past this hotel many times. We vowed to stay here if we ever returned & we’re not disappointed. Super rooms & staff, lovely rooms in a tranquil spot a short walk from Petra. Special thanks to Stavros for helping with our reservations & Georgia & Alex at the restaurant and bar.

Stayed at this lovely hotel for ten nights recently having stayed in Molyvos last year. The standards within the hotel are excellent with everything spotless and all staff extremely friendly. We asked for an upper floor room with a view and that's what we had allocated. The downside was that it was a bit of a trek from the reception/ exit. We wouldn't hesitate to book again as we found the location ideal for visiting both Anaxos and Molyvos for a change of scenery but also we found Petra great and laid back and flat as compared to Molyvos which is extremely hilly. Great pool and snack bar and friendly bar in the hotel.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Alma Hotel in Petra. This was our first time in Petra, as we are usually based in Anaxos. However the walk to Anaxos beach was lovely taking around 25 mins and we returned by taxi. We loved this hotel with it s beautiful views. Our single storey chalet was close to the breakfast room and pool and pool bar. It was quite large and had a bath and shower over. I love a bath. Well equiped with fitted wardrobes and drawers. A fridge too. A lovely little terrace. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice. The pool and pool bar are lovely with a beautiful view of Petra and out to Molivos. It is a salt water pool There is a bar with really comfortable lounge area. It is close to the Avlaki restaurant which we will visit next year. A comfortable 15min stroll into petra The land train was running to and from the beach in Anaxos but it costs more than double the price of a taxi All staff are friendly and helpful. Places we ate lovely food In Anaxos Tropicana Sarandos Anaxos hotel In Petra Womens Co operative We were recommended Avlaki Thalasos Marina Which we will try bext year Places we ate but would nt go back to The Reef The Alma is not available now with big companies so you need to book direct I can honestly say it is a great hoel ane we will be going back

We had booked massages through Dimitri, who had a place at Alma Hotel. So we decided to make a reservation at the hotel too. I'm so glad we did. What a wonderful experience. We requested a ground floor room, and they were able to accommodate us. Check-in was easy, and they took our luggage and showed us to our room. Very large, nicely appointed room with a large balcony with a sea view. Fridge, freezer in the roo. Along with kettle, coffee, tea, etc. The bathroom had a deep tub with a shower. Lots of toiletries such as shampoo, soap, shower gel, razor, toothbrush, etc provided. Loved the pool area and the bar, which has a spectacular view of Petra, the sea, Turkey & St George's Island too. The bartender Giorgi (sp) Georgia in English was so very pleasant. We had a late lunch there, too. Spaghetti carbonera was quite good. Large portion that I shared with my husband. He ordered a pizza, and we took most of it back to our room for supper. The pool was sparking clean and the perfect temperature. There are plenty of sunbeds, too. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices. Eggs, Greek sausages, cold cuts, cheese, several different breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal, Greek salad, pastries, and more. Nice coffee machine that made multiple coffees, tea & juices too. had the cappuccino with milk, and it was great. You shouldn't leave hungry. Check out was also easy, and they were so pleasant. We have already booked a night for our last night in Petra. We wanted to end our trip in style and comfort!

The Alma is a first class hotel which provides clean, well serviced rooms; excellent breakfast, superb reception service provided by Maria (who is a charming young lady from Petra itself) and a dream location. The pool was wonderful, never busy during our week stay. The lunches were very reasonably priced and of good quality. Our room 311 was a standard room which provided an excellent view of the sea and of Petra's countryside. It was a slightly hard walk up, but so worth it. If you don't want to walk in to town there are two restaurants close by. We enjoyed the walk in to, for example, the Marina, grill, which is not expensive and on a Saturday provides chicken and lamb on the spit roast. Never to forget Timo and his mum and Dad at the Rama, providing excellent pizza and free sunbeds. This restaurant is situated next to the football field and opposite the Toy train pay stop. The people of Petra are warm and friendly and want to provide you with a great holiday. We intend to return.

Hotel is located one end of Petra beach on a slightly raised headland. Each villa contains a number of apartments which are spread out over the complex. Our room was airy, spacious with fantastic views of the sea, mountains and Petra itself- wonderful. The cleaning of our room was excellent. Pool area very good with a good bar area overlooking the sea. No complaints there. The breakfast was typical continental - fantastic greek yoghurt and honey. Hot food at breakfast wasn't very good, thsts why only r stars. Lovely balcony area to have your breakfast. Would I visit again definitely 👍

We booked this last minute and having never been to Lesbos’ or Petra before we decided to take a chance. It was a good move. The hotel is in a great position with about a 20 minute walk in to Petra. The good - clean, beautiful location, great pool area and food. Breakfast was a little repetitive but found something every day. The reason for not giving 5 stars are personal and maybe a little petty to some but here they are. At breakfast they regularly ran out of knives which made it interesting sometimes although the views from the breakfast terrace compensated in some way. Depending on the room you could lack privacy on the balcony. We were connected to another balcony but fortunately no one was occupying the room so again able to compensate. The chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable as there were no cushions (again petty you might say but just being honest). Cannot fault the food at lunchtime and reasonably priced. Prices in the hotel are comparable to the restaurants prices in town. Pool area was great. Cleanliness wonderful. All in all one of the last unspoilt places we have found.

We have just ended our week at Alma Resort Hotel; and it was perfect. It might be big and sprawling, but it somehow manages to feel cosy, and it’s very well maintained. Our room (404) was a few steps from the main reception and breakfast area. The pool too is fantastic, the perfect depth too (1.5m). The hotel is quiet, with stunning views of Petra and all the way to Molivos. Breakfast is the standard Greek buffet, and it’s really good. It more than lives up to its star rating. We don’t normally go back to the same Island or hotel, but Petra and the Alma Resort Hotel is firmly on our go back to list for our next holiday.

Our two week holiday at the Alma Resort was everything we wanted and more besides. The hotel is stylish, understated and perfect for a quiet relaxing break. We had a superior double room with sea view, which was spacious and well appointed, with a large bathroom and had a big covered balcony with a stunning sea view. It was immaculately clean and serviced daily. There is a comfortable lounge and terrace, an impressive swimming pool with plentiful new sun beds and sea views. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and can be taken either in the spacious indoor restaurant or on the outdoor terraces with views of the sea. The hotel grounds are very well tended, full of beautiful flowers and as with the interior of the hotel, are spotlessly clean throughout. It is a pleasant 15 to 20 minute stroll into Petra, either along the coastal road or an inland footpath and we were spoilt for choice by the fantastic choice of superb restaurants there. Otherwise, the Avlaki Beach Taverna is next to the hotel, in a very pretty setting with decent food and sunbeds on the beach. All in all, I can highly recommend the Alma Hotel to anybody looking for a quiet peaceful holiday in a delightful, unspoilt resort. It is more than worthy of a four star rating and we will definitely return.
