Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location. Hotel about 50 metres to the beach. The rooms were fine, the people working there were pleasant. We had a leaking fridge which was replaced within minutes of reporting it. The pool looked good, but we're beach people. The pool bar was a good stop-off point before heading for a night out to the lovely resort of Petra. Sleepy and relaxed during the day and a chilled vibe in the evenings with plenty of choice to eat and and drink. Everything - the old and new town - is a short walk away from the hotel. And no hills. Highly recommended.

Booked flight only with Jet 2 & stayed at Blue Sky Hotel in Petra. Flight was comfortable after a short delay - reason for delay was explained to us. Pre- booked airport taxi with Michalis Tracheilos - he was ready and on hand to pick us up and take us to the Blue Sky. Petra is a lovely village with lots of great Tavernas and Bars. Kantina, owned by Stelios & Daniella is a great place to sit and watch the world go by and provides tasty snacks and drinks. The Reef owned by Costas is great for food & Cristos & Thalassa are also amongst the best places to eat and a warm welcome is guaranteed. The Jet2 Reps led by the lovely Georgia are very approachable and helpful and are an asset to Jet2. We love staying at Blue Sky and think of it as our second home. The hotel has a great outside bar & pool & the rooms are a good size with good facilities and are very clean. Andonis and his family welcome you as friends and Andonis works very hard to make sure that everyone has a good time and enjoys their stay. We’re going back next year and are looking forward to another fabulous, relaxing holiday.

The hotel is situated in the middle of Petra, but is still quite and relaxing therefore is ideal. You area couple of minutes to the shops, some of the restaurants and beach.Rooms are standard Greek rooms, which are large and very clean. Beds are comfy. No tv in room, didn't miss it. Anthony the owner is great, polite, courteous and very friendly. Nice poolside bar. The only negative, sunbeds are uncomfortable and need updating, that's why 4 stars.

Had a fab 2 weeks at the Blue Sky! Room was very big with comfy beds. There's a kettle fridge and 2 cooking rings (does anyone ever use these?) one single and a double bed. Huge balcony. The pool is a decent size with sunbeds/parasols around it. which we used a few times (we prefer the beach) Pool and surrounding areas are kept very clean. The bar serves the usual drinks both alcoholic and none alcoholic. Antony who runs the place is an excellent host. The Blue sky is only 5 mins walk to the center of Petra. Been home 4 days and already booked for next September!

Our third stay at the Blue Sky Hotel, having been in 2014 & 2016. Booked with our son, his wife and our 2 year old Grand-daughter. Rooms are large by Greek standards, spotlessly clean, and air-con is an optional extra at 7 Euros per day. Andonis and his family are excellent hosts, and the hotel is only a short walk from the quayside front with a good choice of cafes and restaurants. We've already booked again ... highly recommended !!

We stayed at blue sky on a family holiday in July 2023, after my parents had been visiting Petra / Lesvos and the blue sky for previous trips. I'm so glad we chose to stay here alongside our parents and two young children. Many other guests we met during our stay have been coming back year after year some said since the 80s / 90s. The hotel / small resort was built by the family that still runs it to this day and they are absolutely fantastic. They really make you feel part of the family and you couldn't ask for a nicer / more plesant experience. Antony (Adonis) who runs the hotel, works incredibly hard day in day out and it really shows, alongside carrying on his parents legacy and what they started (they still help out and are great people) he does a great job of making you feel part of the family and welcome, you can understand why people return year after year. Location wise the hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to the main square in Petra and seafront with a large variety of restaurants, bars, gift shops and supermarkets, our favourite during our trip had to be the women's co-operative or the lucky horseshoe. The hotel has a really good sports bar and recently renovated swimming pool with plenty of sunloungers. We stayed in the base room which is a studio and it was very large with three single beds and a travel cot for our younger one, balcony with chairs and always kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. This is the perfect hotel / resort / bar to relax, kick back, have a few drinks, meet new people and have a great time. The whole resort is in perfect condition with a large amount of well thought out planting of flowers and fauna that looks beautiful. Would I recommend this place......100%, will I return.....100%. To all at the blue sky, thank you for your hospitality and see you again soon!

The Blue Sky Hotel is fabulous . We had a spacious room with views over the pool and up to the church . The room and entire hotel is immaculately clean . The hotel is 5 mins from the beach , bars and restaurants so it is in a great location . Andonis and the staff really looked after us and we will be returning next summer.

Have been visiting Blue Sky since 1999 superb accommodation, great pool kept very clean by George ( the owner) Great bar run by Anthony and very close to village centre for the tavernas. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else as we have made some great friends and met some really great ex pats. Family and grandchildren love Blue Sky as much as we do and cannot wait to return

The room was way better than expected. The hosts were amazing, Antonio is a great cheerful guy who was always looking after everyone, making sure everyone was having fun and a great time. I will definitely consider going there again and I fully recommend it. The location is great, next to the beach and in town. We went as a family, a 6 month baby, a 3 years old toddler, an 18 year old teenager, me and my wife. We all had a great time and the facilities and the location were excellent for a big family. Easy to walk everywhere! We are already missing it! Thank you all for a lovely holiday!
