Just returned home from an 8 night stay at the Orion hotel on a B&B basis. Great looking modern hotel, very clean and in a good location. When booking, there is no mention of an annex block around the back (which unfortunately we got put in). We did like our room and location after a couple of days as it was cooler and quieter and being on the ground floor was good for us. Breakfast in the restaurant was rubbish (we only had it twice) but all the food from the pool bar was amazing so we ate there quite often. The guy who runs the pool bar (Kiriakos) is a funny helpful guy (he makes everyone so welcome) along with his staff including the lovely Menny. The cocktails are good ... and strong (I had quite a few)! The pool and sunbathing area is really nice, no problem getting a sunbed and they have some of the sunbeds with canopies on. Although we don’t have any plans to return to Faliraki (we went there as a last resort as our Crete holiday got cancelled), we did have a really good time and feel we definitely chose the right hotel. Just one little issue to point out, there are no plugs in the bath or sink and the drain/grate in the bathroom made a big puddle when we used the shower. The cleaners came in every day except Sunday and the sheets and towels were changed on each occasion which was good.

This hotel is great. All the staff are so friendly; from the lady on the front desk, the cleaners, the waitresses to the bar staff. Always smiling and happy which really makes you feel at home. Very modern pool area with comfortable sunbeds. Plenty of sunbeds were available at all times. Lots of hand sanitiser stations and social distanced sunbeds to be Covid compliant.

The location is fantastic as it is at the end of the strip in Faliraki which is quiet and only a short stroll to bars, shops, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to Faliraki beach which is a lovely beach.

The only downsides I would say is that the rooms are quite dated. However, you have everything you need in the rooms and they are large and comfortable so for the price it is worth it!

Also there is a happy hour in the bar at 7pm - 9pm which we made use of every night. :)

Great hotel, would return in a heartbeat.

I had to give 5 stars just for the staff who are awesome and made us feel very welcome. No matter where you engage with them they are very friendly polite and helpful. They are a credit to the hotel and its obvious they all enjoy their jobs.

The hotel itself is in a very good location not far from the beach or the centre of faliraki.

The rooms are cleaned daily and sheets are changed daily. Beds are very comfortable and the balcony is a decent size with table and chairs. As mentioned in previous reviews the shower is a bit dodgy and small area to get washed but still adequate.

The pool area is really nice with very good quality sunbeds and parasols and a great snack bar serving food as good as any restaurant in Faliraki.

Unfortunately the breakfast let's the hotel down. It consists of eggs eggs and more eggs together with hot dog sausages. No butter or fresh juice and after a few days I couldn't stomach any more.

We were given a late check out for 30 euros and were very grateful as others who wanted a late check out were left disappointed as the hotel was full.

If you do stay here make sure you visit the desert rose restaurant which is fabulous as well as the Opera steak house which is a beautiful place.

You can get a bus to Rhodes Town and lindos on the main road outside the hotel.

We preferred a taxi to Rhodes whi H you can flag on the main road for 19 euros.

Had a great time in faliraki and thank you to everyone at the Orion for making out stay so enjoyable

Stayed here for 2 nights as I’m touring the island and if it wasn’t for the bar staff I would have gave this a 1 * only.
My room was in pore maintenance condition, patio window smashed, shower didn’t work always, when it did it sprayed everywhere except on the body, shower curtain to short so went all over the floor, bathroom in poor condition, nobody cleaned my room or gave fresh towels. Room door left open all day due to power cut, nobody bothered to shut the door knowing of the problem, told reception she didn’t care, poor security, poor cleanliness, pore maintenance, when was the last time the hotel manager went or stayed in any of these rooms, never! On a good note the F&B staff where excellent.

It is located in a quieter area in Faliraki, south of Rhodes city centre. There is a bus stop “F28 Apollo Beach” (36°20'37.7"N, 28°12'00.9"E) just two minutes walking distance from the hotel. Time table for busses is displayed at the bus stop. There are frequent buses to both Rhodes and Delos. There is a narrow road leading to the beach just across on the opposite side of the main road. Beach itself is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. There is wide range of restaurants and cafes to suit every budget within walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is a 3 star hotel. We got a room on the ground floor opposite side of the pool. The curtains were not “light black out type”. As such the room was not dark enough for a sound sleep when the security lights were switched on our first night. When we complained about it, the management said that the lights were on for “security” reasons. They also installed additional curtains on the door leading to the balcony outside. Despite the “security” reasons given earlier, all the lights were turned off for the rest of our stay at the hotel. The room/bathroom itself was spacious, clean and tidy.
The breakfast was buffet type. There was plenty of variety. They also provide “buffet” type dinner at a very cheap price. But it was not the best unless it is for tight budget purpose. The staff at the restaurant specially Anna was very friendly, helpful and always ready to please the customer.
The night reception staff showed lack of experience in customer service. However in an overall sense it was satisfactory.
There is a refrigerator, a kettle and cups for making tea/coffee. But tea/coffee is not provided. But there are few kiosks/shops around to buy these. There is no microwave.

My fiancé and I stayed here from September 26th for 11 nights. When we arrived we was told we would temporarily needed to be moved to another location (just 2 minutes walk away) as our room had an issue with the water supply. For this issue we was also upgraded to half board free of charge for the full 11 nights. The temporary room was where they put their VIP guests in and was spacious, modern and very clean. Our new room was ready just two days later and we moved into the grounds of the hotel. We stayed in room 502 and it was lovely, extremely clean, two beds, big shower! We went to the pool bar restaurant most mornings for our breakfast and the food there was brilliant. My fiancé got a full English breakfast every morning and it was fab, just like being at home haha. Kiriakos (I may have spelt this wrong) and Zoe were very friendly and attentive! We really enjoyed their company. It is my fiancé’s 30th next year and we will definitely be returning. The hotel is located in a good place, far enough away from the rowdy bars and just a 5 minute walk away from the beach.

The hotel deserves a higher rating. It’s a lovely family run hotel which is modern with traditional rooms. The area is safe and the strip starts about a minute walk from the hotel entrance. Upon arrival you’re greeted with the lovely reception which looks out onto the bright pool. The pool has a selection of beds around (none of extra charge), which is amazing. The pool bar has lovely staff who never fail to ask how you are which serves a range of food and drink at really cheap prices €5 during happy hour for any cocktail €2.50 for a pint. The breakfast selection was amazing, the majority of half boards ai have been to is a set menu. They offer a buffet which has a range of traditional english breakfast, yoghurts, crepes, pastries, waffles and more. You can have as much as you’d like. Food offered a range selection on an evening. When checking out rather than paying to extend our checkout time, our bags were stored at reception and we had the opportunity to use showers for free down stairs which are equipped with a hairdryer (no time limit). I will be returning next year as my 5 nights at the hotel have been incredible and all members of staff have taken time to make your experience enjoyable. Thankyou Charlie and Maria particularly!

The Orion was a lovely clean hotel all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and they had plenty to choose from. We stayed evening meal on the last night and again they had plenty to choose from and everything was fresh and tasty. The pool area and sunbeds were cleaned everyday. Our rooms were of a good size and so was the balcony. Our rooms were cleaned every other day and our towels were changed frequently. The rooms have cups and a kettle and a fridge but they don't have any spoons or cutlery so we bought some from the supermarket.
The location of the Orion hotel is ideal as you are a street away from bars and restaurants and shops. If you come out of hotel and cross the road and walk down that street opposite it takes you to the lovely beach where you can book boat trips, or paragliding or just lay all day on the sunbeds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so thankyou to all at the Orion.
Only one slight negative was the cost to keep our room on for longer as we had an evening flight. Everyone has to vacate their room at 11am but we asked to keep it on for longer, we were told we could only stay until 6pm and was charged €45 which I felt was a little high.

The pool and main area are well kept and clean,we stayed on a building far back, the room is spaceous, clean, the fruniture is a bit run down, old.
Breakfast is ok but repetitive, same everyday, coffee is horrible, only one fruit is available:watermelon,2 types of cereal and waterdown juice.
Dinner is not great,to be honest wish i would only bought breakfast.
At one point they served cakes ,tiny cakes and i asked for 2 pieces and I was rudely told that:it is only one tiny cake for person....really,on a buffet based meal?
Not to mention that cakes and the juice dinspenser seems to be put strategically so the you won't see them.
Overall it feels like they are trying to cut corners on everything to reduce costs.
The wi fi does not work all the time, mostly it doesnt work,on out first day for a few hours we had no electricity.
Had high hopes based on the reviews but i was dissapointed, wouldn't return.

The rooms are basic however they are clean and the beds and pillows are so comfy. Maids come round every day and clean your room apart from Sundays!! Best service ever. The pool area and pool bar is by far the best I’ve ever been in pool opens from 7am to 7pm and you don’t have to que up for sun beds or to put towels down. Pool bar staff are amazing especially Maria her service is incredible lovely woman!! Nice menus and decent food never had an issue or problem! Bar stays open for the customers and they serve pizzas after midnight so was so good if you’d been out aswell. Hotel is in best location not far from beach straight line and the strip is close but far enough away that you don’t hear it when your in the hotel would definitely come here again and again amazing
