This was literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, it’s very outdated definitely in need of work my partner & children ended up in hospital with food poisoning caused by cold food & flies lerking around on it, I got bitten by bed bugs and still have the scars now tui wouldn’t compensate us as apparently this is the first negative review they’ve had lol!! Just be cautious when booking here!!

Positives Great location in Faliraki. Food good Entertainment decent Water park on site is excellent Cons We were given a horrendous room initially. Not what we paid for. In a decrepid block. Mould on walls. Insects crawling everywhere. Big metal stuck rollers shutters on windows. Had to have countless visits to reception to argue we wanted to change rooms before they agreed. Next room was what we paid for. Still in a tired state but good enough. Shouldn’t have to go through that to get it. Most areas of the hotel and grounds in bad condition Football area had concrete falling off the walls and big holes. Tatty and needs investment around pools. Would come back to Rhodes. Not this hotel. If I look in years to come and it’s had a good refurb may consider because of great location and water park. For now… steer clear!

The entertainment staff is outstanding! They truly make our trip. Pedro, Jonathan and Roberto are absolutely fantastic. The resort is stunning but the staff is what really keeps us coming back. 10 out of 10.

Disappointed with Sun Palace Hotel , Faliriaki, due to unauthorised duplicate payment taken from credit card where the hotel company later refused to refund the money. Only realised the error upon returning to uk. Emailed hotel several times which they stated would look into the matter , but were not very helpful in the end. This caused great inconvenience having to contact credit card company who later returned and refunded our payment back to our account. I did ask the hotel to please sort out the error otherwise would reluctantly put a negative review on trip advisor. It was a shame as we may have returned to the hotel again in the future, so it was very short sighted of the hotel, as it was not much money that needed to be refunded. At time at reception I was told the payment hadn’t gone through therefore to tap the credit card again. But the staff never cancelled the failed first payment and it automatically continued to make the failed payment and later went through a second time some 10 hours later. Overall review : Food in main hall restaurant very good selection although would have liked the food to be hotter and option of omelettes to be made on request hot and fresh instead of mass produced. Pool bars food very poor. Water park excellent but my son couldn’t go on half of the rides due to slight height difference although he could go in the huge scary kamikaze slides which just did not make sense. Rooms very dated, shower sometimes failed to have hot water or sometimes water way way too hot. The water park electricity cut out several times so couldn’t go on the rides. Great location walking distance to the town night life.

The only good thing I can say about the hotel is the entertainment team made this trip big shout out to remi, Alexander, sammy and the ladies Bar staff amazing The food was a 1 star not always cooked so always had to check before eating, did do chips pizza and pasta daily, salad. Water park snack bar really good, but signs of wear and tear at the park. Hotel pool clean but sun loungers need chucking away and replacing Cleaning of our room was hit and miss but our friends room was always cleaned Would we go back no unless it’s had a massive renovation and the management realise that cutting quality to save money is never good

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, the only good thing about it is the entertainment team, the food is disgusting, always cold and most of the meats were never cooked properly, the cleaning staff never actually cleaned the rooms only fresh towels and bedding, nothing was ever actually wiped down, the arcade within the hotel was cool, the water park was amazing, came as a family of 20 people, kids only ate the pizza and chips, needs a better variety of foods for both adults and kids, the drinks machine was 80% flat or they never filled them up. This hotel could do with a refurbishment and better food and it would be a 5* hotel, the entertainment team made up for the rubbish food, the rooms were also infested with ants

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if it wasn't for the animation team they work so hard and really made our holiday the best they could. With out this ream of fantastic people there wouldn't be anyone returning here. The food standards are extremely low all food was cold and very repetitive. Raw food served most days mainly the pork so becomes dangerous. In general the hotel staff we came across were polite and friendly. This hotel does however need a serious refurbishment many broken fixtures and fittings, stains on the beds and sheets etc. I would retun to this hotel once I knew it had been refurbished and the food has improved. The only thing this hotel doesn't need to change is the entertainment its fantastic for all ages.

Do not stay here. Food is awful, no matter the restaurant you choose on site. Cleaning standards are not the best, your room being cleaned doesn't actually get cleaned. Just new bedding and towels, cleaning team do not clean the bathroom or even vacuum/mop the floor. Play park on site is not safe! Complained about this, the Tui rep, Georgios, was helpful and had the hotel manager and maintenance team walk around the park with me and agreed that with a little pressure the whole park swing as so old. The maintenance team fixed two pieces of wood to the frame which didn't solve anything. The plastic part of the structure had metal poles which were broken, spikey and rusted but they taped that up as soon as I mentioned it to be fair to them. Hand rails down the stairs are loose and with a little pressure cone away from the way. Again, food is covered in Greece, not much traditional Greek cuisine at all. We spent an addition €300 on food at local restaurants and by day two were sick of fried food for every meal. Positives, would be the splash parks (although a lot of it looks taped together) but it is a really fun part of the hotel. Plus the location as you can be on the beach within 5-10 min walk from the hotel plus there's a strip of shops along the road to Faliraki Square which is about 20 mins away. The welcome to the hotel was warm although they don't tell you anything about the kids club or the activities and where to find them. I don't expect much from a three star and in many way in terms of splash park this place exceed but you can't really relax in the splash park if you know you have to get out, get ready for lunch and then go back in. The food and the cleanliness, along with the safety issues really let this place down. I would avoid and spend your money somewhere much nicer and this place isn't even cheap!

The only good thing about this hotel is the entertainment team, they work extremely hard and excel at everything they do. They show great team work and 100 percent professionalism. They have great character and energy. Without this outstanding team the place would be lifeless. As for the cleaning it has taken complaints to get this resolved. The Food is cold and undercooked. Ended up eating out at JD friends next to sun palace. GREAT STEAK not to be missed. Staff in restaurant at sun palace have been well mannered and pleasant. Bar staff great. Reception been great. Lady in the shop is so lovely always pleasant. I love rhodes and will miss entertainment team when i go home.
