Helios Garden consists of three light, airy and modern self catering holiday apartments situated within the magical Old Town of Rhodes. Each lovingly restored apartment is a clever mixture of the contemporary alongside Hellenistic, Byzantine, Medieval and Ottoman styles that pay tribute to the UNESCO World Heritage Medieval city. Outside is the sanctuary of a lawned communal courtyard garden which offers a surprisingly peaceful setting. Amongst an assortment of fruit trees, flowers, vegetables and herbs this space incorporates two dining areas, a raised sunbathing deck, lounge area and barbecue facilities. Inside each of these self catering holiday apartments the owners have crafted every detail to an exceptionally high standard that offers a stylish holiday retreat. The apartments are available for rental either separately or (subject to availability) collectively. The apartments are very secure and private and located inside the walls of the Old Town. The surrounding amenities and attractions include a wide choice of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, and sights – many on your doorstep or within immediate walking distance. Key features include: Individual Kitchen and Bathroom in each apartment. Free Wi-Fi access for your devices. Self catering – with a welcome bottle of wine and fresh fruit on arrival. Daily linen and towel change is also included if required. Fine quality bed linens and towels throughout. Each room includes bathrobes, slippers and beach towels. The personal touch. Your helpful and dedicated hosts Jay and Meike go beyond providing high standards and a warm welcome – they can help arrange car-hire, licensed tour guides for city-walks, excursions and grocery deliveries.

I was gifted a stay at Helios Apartments last Spring and came here alone to recharge after a very busy time in my life. Recharge I most certainly did, and more, returning home thoroughly refreshed by the beauty and delight of Helios, Rhodes Old Town and the Aegean sea.
Nestled in Rhodes Medieval City and World heritage site, stepping into Helios is like stepping out of time, into a peaceful beautiful sanctuary with original exposed stone walls, and a tasteful blend of byzantine, modern and Hellenistic design that has been lovingly restored by the wonderfully attentive and accommodating hosts Meike and Jay.
Sleeping in the King size poster bed in the Eos apartment felt like living in a fairy tale. The living room, kitchen and bathroom were equipped with everything I could need along with a gorgeous attention to detail in the drinks, snacks and flowers tastefully laid out for me.
The small terrace overlooking the shared garden was perfect to sit and read in peace. The garden itself is exceptionally kept, with bright pink flowers, trees and homegrown herbs, loungers to relax in and two dining tables in the shade where breakfast is served daily if requested.
Breakfast at Helios is yet another level of delight for the senses. I had Meike's gluten free and vegetarian homemade bread and homemade peanut butter, both absolutely delicious, along with her also delicious vegetarian omelette. I actually had several of these amazing omelettes!
Overall the standard of presentation, atmosphere, facilities and service with care with exceptional. I can't recommend it highly enough.
With the living history of the Old Town alive inside and outside the door of Helios, and Elli Beach easily walkable to swim in, this is the perfect place for sun, sea and history lovers alike.
In addition to showing me around the Old Town, the hosts met me on arrival and brought my luggage to the apartment for me. Thank you Meike and Jay for a magical stay!

Surely the most attentive hosts in the whole of Greece a country famed for hospitality.
Meike and Jay were fabulous, from the meet and greet to departure and arranging reliable airport transport. Everything they did was above and beyond. Jay provides a very useful mini tour around the old town with restaurant recommendations. Meike makes a plethora of cakes and breads that are brought to you daily as a treat.
The room itself was sympathetically decorated in keeping with the building and the old town itself and the apartment had everything you need for a few nights or a few weeks.
The gardens are tranquil and offer respite from the hustle and bustle and the heat.
The breakfast is amazing but you had better have an appetite as Meike is feeding an army.
If you go to Rhodes town and don't need a pool then you must stay here.
Jay, Meike many thanks for your fabulous hospitality.

First class service - a little oasis in Rhodes Old Town.
From the personal meet at the port and the quick guided walk to the apartment you are made to feel so welcome by Jay and Meike. The studio is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The garden is a quiet oasis. The breakfasts are definitely recommended- beautifully presented and all freshly made (bread, tarts, preserves, muesli all absolutely delicious). Look no further for your perfect stay !

This is a small Oasis in the middle of the peaceful part of the Rhodes Old Town. Only a few apartments around a central beautiful garden. They serve fantastic breakfast, privately served at your request, nice spacious rooms, The owner's are a super friendly couple, who for example pick up your luggage from the nearby Old Town gate. Strong recommendation!

Helios Garden surpassed our expectations. The garden was a wonderful oasis in which to enjoy Meike's homemade breakfast delights. Homemade bread, cheese, jam, tarts and cakes, everything was wonderful, beautifully presented, and so much of it.
Meike and Jay are amazing hosts and genuinely lovely friendly people. They seem to have thought of everything to make sure a stay at Helios Garden is very memorable.
We were greeted with a bottle of wine, a bowl of fresh fruit and some chocolate favours. Every day, upon our return to the apartment, we would find new favours, which was lovely.
They gave us lots of tips on restaurants and places to visit and we are so glad we chose to stay here.
Our favourite restaurant from previous visits to Rhodes Town was Marco Polo, but Jay recommended Mezzaluna, which has now taken our top slot.
We have been to Rhodes town five times and stayed in hotels costing far more, but Meike and Jay have made sure this is the best and made our stay very memorable.

Jay & Meike are wonderful hosts and they think of everything - from meeting us at the city walls to transfer our luggage and guide us to the property, to thoughtful touches like some Easter chocolates, bottled water, fresh fruit and wine in the appartment. The property is beautifully restored, very stylish, super clean and comfortable. The garden space was lovely and unusual in such a city setting. The breakfast food was, as we suspected, the best we had on the island, and it was plentiful enough to serve for lunch too. Meike is a very talented baker, all the food was delicious. We could not recommend Helios Garden Boutique Apartments highly enough, it really is special and excellent value for money.

I can hardly believe how wonderful it was to stay in this gorgeous apartment……..

Meike and Jay are both incredible hosts. They met us at the San Francisco gate, and Jay kindly took our cases from the taxi driver, to transport them in a special purpose built “tricycle “, while Meike kindly walked with us through the gate and along the streets to the apartments. I knew as soon as we had walked a few metres with her that they were going to be the incredible hosts that they were - such kind and thoughtful people, and nothing was too much trouble.

When we arrived, it was like landing in a Rhodes town paradise. The building and the garden are beautiful, and the apartment is tastefully restored, our suitcases were ready for us in the bedroom, a bottle of wine kindly left for us, and a very welcome bowl full of delicious fruits. We were given a welcome drink and snacks, which were much appreciated.

In the morning Jay took us on an orientation tour of the immediate area which was really helpful.

We had booked breakfasts for each of the three mornings. Well; what a great decision! I couldn’t believe just how fabulous the breakfasts were, and served with a smile and pride in the beautiful, tranquil garden.

I have to say that staying at Helios really made our holiday for us. I can’t imagine that anywhere else could possibly be as fabulous as Helios.

I would like to emphasise that Meike and Jay make the whole experience the pleasure that it is, through their hard work, natural thoughtfulness and pride in their business. I would stay here again and again without a second thought….it is truly one of the most memorable places I have had the pleasure of staying in in my life.

Fantastic place to stay in Rhodes old town. The hosts, Jay and Meike, were lovely. They really care about their guests and go out of their way to be helpful. We were the first guests of the season, we were met at the bus station, given a guided tour of the old town and made to feel at home when we arrived. Every day we had surprise gifts left in our apartment. Meike is an excellent cook and we enjoyed the breakfast with homemade breads, cakes and yogurts.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and looked out over the courtyard. A peaceful location in the old town within easy walking distance of main attractions. Would highly recommend staying here and will be back next time we visit Rhodes.

Wow what a wonderful boutique hotel set in a quite garden position in the old town of Rhodes. We had a smaller room which was to be fair huge with everything you needed for a hassle free stay. The hosts were wonderful and had thought of everything, we opted for breakfast in the morning all hand made by our hosts and a lot of it. Overall if you thinking of short or overnight stays we would recommend The Helios boutique hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Meike and Jay are extremely kind and hospitable people who went the extra mile for us during our stay. I am gluten free, and Meike ensured that I had a wide range of breakfast choices, from gluten free breads to wonderful gluten free cakes and muffins, every single morning during our 6 nights stay! The kindness provided by her was incredible. I can’t describe how much thought she put into making sure that I didn’t miss out on anything! I’ve only seen this kind of hospitality in five star luxury hotels! Jay picked up our cases when we arrived so that we didn’t have to drag them through the old town on an extremely hot afternoon. This service, along with all of the special touches, like leaving us sweets and treats daily, leaving a lovely bottle of red wine for us on arrival day, and the fresh flowers in the room, clearly showed us that they are not just running a guest house but also genuinely care about the well-being of their guests. I highly recommend that you stay at Helios Garden Boutique Hotel during your stay in Rhodes town. Amazing people, lovely accommodation, and thoughtful touches that you will not get anywhere else! Thanks so much Meike and Jay!

"Elli" beach, the city beach on the northern tip of the island, is around a 20 min. walk away. Other beaches are reachable by bus or car.

Is the garden good for some sun bathing in the afternoon ? Are there enough sun beds ?
Answer from Johannes K

Our garden is a very good place for sunbathing. We have a special platform with 2 sunbeds that is very sunny in the afternoon, with a parasol that can be closed if desired. You can see a photo of it on the website. The rest of the garden is quite shady with some sunny spots, with a few sittig options including a small couch.
