The restaurant is very good. Food and staff inclusive. This made up for the room in which we were staying. The shower floor was dirty when we arrived. And the bathroom glass door looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for years. The sheet on the double bed was made for a single bed

Not really, no - no big 5 star chain type hotels. This is in the old walled city, so most accommodations are very small rooms in buildings that date from the middle ages. No pools, no buffet, nothing like that. The rooms/small hotels are still nice - they just are not set up for 5 star service.
