The rooms are praised for cleanliness and views, although some guests note they can be small and noisy, with sporadic housekeeping. The hotel is lauded for its value, offering reasonable rates for various services.

Second time we have stayed in this beautiful family run hotel it’s like home from home. Was lovely to see old faces as well as new. Our room this time was on the fifth and was truly amazing sat on the balcony looking out to sea having a glass what more could we ask for. Reception check in fabulous was greeted by Michael and Marina very friendly and chatty we caught up with Antonis and Fedora at a later time and both remembered us which was lovely. We had a pizza and fries on arrival from the bar it was huge and very tasty this is where we met Alex for the first time a lovely cheeky young man who looked after us perfectly thank you Electra our lovely bar waitress from last year we caught up with later that evening. On entering the restaurant that evening Savvas the maitre d at the hotel greeted us like family big hugs so lovely to see him still there as he’s is the backbone of the restaurant please don’t ever leave, new staff this time we’re Eleni, Monolis and Michaela after our ten days they were like family too couldn’t do enough for you yet another good team who work well together. Also Angel helping out. Food is amazing and we were pleased that Chef Valantis still is with you and he made us twice the best ever Saganaki really delicious. Ivan also fantastic on breakfast. Mentions also to Valandi, Vasilik, John and Valentina. Our final mention goes to Angelliki our hearts go out to her and her family and you know why. Keep doing what you are doing as it’s still working and we really do hope to return very soon and love you your hotel your food and hospitality all over again. It’s the best location is perfect for walking in to Rhodes old town or 2 minutes to the beach. We left with empty hearts full bellies and a whole new lot of friends as well as our old ones who are close to our hearts always. Savvas and Angelilki Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a beautiful stay.

In a nutshell, our stay was very comfortable. Firstly and most importantly, CV19 is taken very seriously here. When I go away on holiday, I aspire to sleep and eat well, have a decent shower and feel at ease - that is exactly what we got. The room was a little on the small side but manageable. In the room was a king size bed, kettle with a couple of teacups (bring your own tea/coffee and buy some milk), a fridge, a TV with remote, wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, chair, a couple of bedside tables, en suite with shower and balcony. We took a small extension lead with us but without it, we'd have managed with the number and location of plug sockets. There was a travel type hairdryer in the bathroom too. The towels, bathroom glasses, remote control etc were presented in sealed bags with a sticker indicating they had been disinfected/sanitised. The room was regularly cleaned to a high standard. The hotel bar was great, happy hour from 8pm on all cocktails, which made them very reasonably priced. The lads behind the bar were friendly and attentive and we were well looked after by them. The hotel bar offers some good quality local live entertainment on some nights too. The pool area is quite small and therefore there aren't many sunbeds but the hotel is well placed locally and a stones throw from the beach. There is lots to see and do nearby and whilst the walk to the Old Town following the waterline is lovely, it is the long way round and you can cut through which will save some time but also exposes you to some beautiful buildings on quaint tree lined streets, cafes, supermarkets and shops - the surrounding area almost has a village feel to it. Head to the tourist information centre just down from the bus terminal and pick up some of the free maps to help you with this. For me, the highlight was the food and the staff in the restaurant and kitchen, who run a slick operation. Savvas and Yiota make a remarkable and very professional team, nothing is too much trouble and we had some real fun with them too. We were half board and I thought the food was fantastic and high quality, buffet style every night with so much variety and flavour - the highlight for me being Greek Night on a Saturday. The restaurant, kitchen, bar and housekeeping staff take great pride in their work and were a pleasure to meet and chat to. So, Savvas, Yiota and the team, thank you for your hospitality last week. We are missing you already. (CP)

My partner and I have just arrived back from a fantastic hotel at The Semiramis City Hotel. From the moment we arrived to the hotel we were made to feel so welcomed by the receptionist (who runs the nightshift). Our room was lovely and modern, and we had a part view of the sea, we stayed in room 208. Rooms have great air con and also a button which allowed us to display do not disturb or clean up on the outside of our door. Rooms were cleaned daily and left in spotless condition, replacing towels and some days even making towel animals.
Every single member of staff who worked there were so friendly and hospitable even the cleaners. The lady working on the bar remembered my coffee order each morning, and the man and lady who worked in the bar in the evenings had great conversations with us and made amazing cocktails. The restaurant team were also fantastic being so attentive even though the food was self serve, and the restaurant manager in particular who went around checking everyone enjoyed their meal and just making conversation with all guests.
In terms of the food, breakfast was a continental style, it was okay for breakfast and it was very busy each morning so it is better to get down early. Dinner choices varied each night with some nights being themed such as Italian, Greek, and i cannot recall the other. The food gives a good range of options and also desserts which were delicious.
The location of the hotel is excellent in proximity to the beach which is about 1 minute walk, however down a steep hill. At the bottom of this hill you'll find a few shops and also a lovely cafe for brunch. The main party strip is also 5-10 minute walk and the new town is around 10-15 minute walk. To walk to the old town its around 30 minutes or more, be wary there as many people will try to rope you into their bar and charge 35 euro for two drinks. The drinks in the hotel are around 8.50 for a cocktail and 5 euro for a beer similarly to the rest of Rhodes town. Although the hotel is a 10 minute walk from most of shops and bars it is great as it is peaceful and quiet.
The pool area is small however as it is a city hotel it is to be expected. When we were there we went to the pool at a range of different times and were able to obtain a bed every time we went, no one reserved beds which was a delight.
Overall we absolutely loved our stay in Semiramis and would definitely return! The staff were the highlight of our trip

Initially we were hesitant reading some of the reviews, however the poor reviews were unfounded in our opinion. We travelled as a couple for 1 week and had half board with a pool view room. When we arrived there was a technical fault with the room and had to spend the evening at another hotel 3 mins away, the taxi costs were paid and we were offered free drinks or an excursion for compensation. The rooms are not huge but perfectly clean and useable, we tend to spend the day sightseeing so room size is not an issue for us. We experienced a peaceful stay with no noise from other guests, all of whom seemed respectful. The reason we picked this hotel is the location, it is in walking distance to the beach, to the old town and castle, the new town shopping centre and plenty of restaurants, shops etc (all within 10/20 mins walk). We used the hotel services for massage, car hire and excursions, all of which were professional, on time and extremely lovely people and had no issues whatsoever. The food is lovely, plenty to choose from inc meats, salads etc. The restaurant manager Savaas was extremely friendly and made the mealtimes special, he remembered our favourite places to sit and explained the different foods, how they are cooked and the traditions of the food. The hotel is lovely, all areas are spotlessly clean, all the staff we spoke to are gracious, friendly and more than willing to help which makes a huge difference. We used the bar for coffee's etc, again Georga was completely lovely and always a great service. The hotel is not a resort hotel as such, but if you're looking for a fantastic city hotel, with great service, great food and an even greater location this is for you. My tip would be hire a car which is very reasonably priced from the hotel and enjoy the beaches around the island and visit as many sights as you can as the island is remarkable. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay.

Myself and my partner Jamie stayed at the Semiramis for 2 weeks this month and what a very enjoyable stay it was!
The hotel is absolutely spotless, the room is cleaned every day and the covid measures that are in place made us feel very safe.
But the staff are the most important people in this hotel. What lovely lovely people!! They totally go out off there way for you! I have never met nicer people when we have been on holiday! Even the other residents of the hotel all talked together and had a laugh and drinks down in the bar!
The hotel is not a far walk to the New and Old town, very central.
The clinic for the return to home test is straight across the street from the hotel and cost €10 and the hotel staff were very kind enough to print the results and our PLFs for coming home for us, which we are very grateful for, thank you!
It was a sad day to leave the Semiramis, but we will definitely be back and I totally recomend this hotel, because to us, and everyone we spoke to, this hotel deserves 5 stars!
Boys...Large Mythos and a fanta orange for Jamie! Then charge a vodka and coke to room 222! Lol
Thank you all so much and we will see you again!
Hope the shoes fit buddy!

The best thing about this hotel is the staff who are super friendly, especially Yiota and Savvas in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner, who were so welcoming and friendly.
Check in was easy. We booked a standard room and were put into room 229 at the back of the hotel. We had an issue with people slamming doors on the first night from about 0700. The doors in that part of the hotel don't seem to close automatically, so I think people slam their doors to shut them (we were shocked when we noticed our door wasn't shut properly). We complained and the reception staff kindly upgraded us to a better room 303 in a quieter part of the hotel, which solved the problem. We were grateful for this. However, if we were staying during a busier time, they might not have been able to move us or solve the problem.
The new room was of a good standard, with a partial sea view, comfortable bed, good bathroom, good flat screen tv, and a good sized wardrobe. We were pleased to see a kettle in the room. The room was small, but perfectly good. However, the cleaning staff did not replace toilet rolls or shower gel or soap, even when I left notes to ask them to do this. I was surprised that they missed the basics.
The location of the hotel is great; close to the beach and old town. We did not use the hotel pool as it is too small for swimming really, but walked to the nearby beach. We also took bus 40 from the Old Town to Kalithea Beach and Faliraki Beach on seperate days, which was nice. I also recommend a boat trip to Lindos from Rhodes Harbour.
Would we consider staying here again - probably not, as we would not book a standard room again because of the issue mentioned, which would probably make the overall price too high.

Having explored location and previous reviews, there were no surprises to me. Hotel is located near west windy coast, but beaches are nice and sea waves are acceptable. Hotel is very clean. Covid 19 measures are on the top level. Cleaning ladies clean rooms, change bed sheets and towels every day. There is air condition and hair dryer in the rooms. Bed is, in my opinion, too soft. Bathroom is small.
Further, you can use towels for beach with 10 euro deposit per towel.
All employees are very kind and hospitable.
Breakfast is as usual as in most hotels. Dinner is delicious with nice soups, vegetables, meat, cakes, ice cream.
WiFi is free and pretty good.
City beach on east coast is 10-15 minutes on foot.
I really recommend staying in this hotel

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is modern and has all the facilities. I only served breakfast, but it was tasty and I had variety. A downside would be the small pool with few sunbeds if you do not want to go to the sea. The room was clean and modern, and if you wanted someone to come and clean it, press a "clean up" button before leaving the room. A plus is that it has a luggage room if you have a flight in the evening and you can weigh your luggage on a device so that you don't have a surprise when you arrive at the airport.

We stayed from 25th September for 9 nights and we had a fantastic holiday from beginning to end. The hotel is in a very good location for the old town, its about a 10 minute walk and the beach is also a stones throw away. The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean, we had a spacious suite on the 5th floor with a sea view that was lovely to wake up to every morning. The pool is small but was fine as we tended to go to the beach most days. The staff really are lovely, so friendly and accomodating.we stayed half board as it was so cheap, and ate out several times. The hotel restaurant is waiter service due to the covid19, and there's just one choice of main course but Savvas the restaurant manager always offered to make us something special if we didn't like what was on the menu. The food was good and all the restaurant staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I spent two wonderful weeks in Rhodes and chose the Semiramis Hotel, firstly for convenience since I could stay in Rhodes city and then move around the island from there. My choice was perfect. I was given a room on the ground floor, which was very comfortable and had amenities such as, fridge, a colour TV, Aircon, kettle, hairdryer and a safe. My bed was very comfortable and everything I needed was provided, plenty of towels and those were changed promptly on request. The hotel has also a swimming pool and sunbeds, although I did not use those facilities. My booking was half board, thus I had access to both breakfast and dinner. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, served as a buffet, with plenty of choices for everyone. Food was excellent in abundance and very tasty. What made the dining and breakfast experience memorable were, the member of staff Savvas(maitre d), Yiota, Vangelis, Stefanos and Eleftheria who were the kindest people, you can meet. They were friendly, professional and always ready to deliver the best customer service. The bar staff, Vasilis and Silver fox(I cannot remember the name of the other barman) were also very professional and very friendly. I ordered drinks and everything was served with a big smile. Many thanks to Vasilis for those excellent Amaretto sour. For someone who rarely drink, I really appreciated the quality of their cocktails and wines. Receptionist staff was also very professional and check in and check out, were absolutely fine. The hotel is located 12 minutes from the old town, and only 2 minutes from the beach, and a 10 minutes walk from the bus station, where you can catch many buses, which will take you to many destinations. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely use Semiramis Hotel again and, would definitely recommend Semiramis to others. Thanks to everyone for the excellent stay.
