Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 10 nights. Staff were expecting me on arrival but told me that there would be a room change after the second night. My new room was ready after breakfast and the staff took care of moving my luggage. Rooms are serviced every other day and that includes change of towels and top sheet. Air condition is efficient - too efficient and needed to turn it off at night as made the room feel chilly. Wifi is perhaps the best I have had in many hotels. Easy to connect and no issues with connectivity. Breakfast is the only issue as repetitive with no variety. Hotel surrounded by shops and restaurants so plenty of choice. Gorilla Place recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay at this charming little hotel perfectly located for all amenities. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was very well stocked with a variety of lovely meals cooked and presented to a very high standard. Our stay was made very special by the kindness and welcoming nature of the lovely barman. It was hard leaving the hotel and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. The only downside is that the breakfast gets very repetitive as the same is served each day. But still plenty to choose from and you didn’t go hungry.

I would just like to say a very big thank you, to all the staff Meni, Costa, and of course Olga..brilliant service with a smile and a joke with it. Not only them, many more of the staff the cleaners, night staff the place is the best very clean cannot do enough to help. My only regret is that I didn't stay here before. But I will from now on..love it. You have made my holiday a special one you should be proud of the staff, the hotel, the bar (great for people watching). Smack bang in the middle of the city 2 mins walk to beaches on both sides. Afaristo and Yammas. Tim Austin

I stayed at the carina with my dad for 7 days, his first time abroad. We had gone to see as much history as we possibly could see in a week. The staff were more than happy to help with directions to where ever we wanted to go or for any information we asked about. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. This was a great base for what we wanted with lovely staff (every single one of them) I would recommend for anyone wanting somewhere central in a very clean hotel on a budget.

I booked for one day to give me time to make plans for the rest of my last minute trip, and liked it enough to stay for 3. Everything is quite nice, a few hundred meters from the medieval walls. Especially considering the location, I felt I got excellent value for money.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Carina hotel for one week. Our room was okay but nothing more. The cleaning straff did a great job and our room looked super nice when we came back from the beach on the afternoon. However the included breakfast was not that good. The same everyday and not that many choices. Also some off the staff did not come across as very service minded, we most of the time felt they where very sick and tired of us staying at the hotel. Knowing that we werent customers who partied all night or made much noice at all, this felt very unfair. Especially the manager seemed grumpy all the time and did not give us the service you would expect. Also we had to pay an extra 6 euro per night in order to get air condition in our room. If there was a fan in the room we would be fine, but seeing as the temperature was high during the whole night it felt impossible to sleep without anything.

Nice comfy room, modern, similar to a Travelodge, free air con, nice bar and restaurant to have a drink and eat at with good prices. Close to the beaches and in the centre of town within easy walking distance to old town also. Ideal for a few nights before heading to the east side of the island and heading to the beaches and mountains.
