The location of the hotel is great, downtown and close to the beach (although a little far to walk to the old town). The views are great, but the whole hotel needs upgrades. No one is at the main desk after 6, which can be an issue, Free breakfast, could use an upgrade too.

You get what you pay for. AC was working, bed was good enough. No prob with cleaning. Breakfast beats 90 percent of all hotel-restaurants in US😉 (acceptable food, not great of course...) The pub next to the reception is 5 star. Extremely friendly barkeeper. A great place in the sunset. Played my favorites from the 70s. And; fantastic location.😎

While the beaches just before are looking at the west side of the island and a bit more... More

We we trying to stay at Als for 7 nights but after first night we found a cockroach from our room so we moved to another hotel. Our room was in first floor and upper floors might be better. We didn't get any support from staff of Als.

The service is terrible, the rooms are dirty and in bad shape(broken toiletseat and showerhead),the breakfast was not good at all. The only good thing is the location of the hotel. Close to the beach and city center.
