Detailed Reviews
Whenever I visit Rhodes, I always stay at Vivian Studios and this time I had the opportunity to do so for the first time with my family! The studios are located at a nice and quiet spot which was perfect for sleeping through the night especially for our small baby. Vivian offered us a very comfortable bed for the baby which fitted well in the spacious room. The fridge was silent and the small stove was very convenient for preparing the baby's food as well as our own.
The room was very clean, equipped with everything we needed and if there was something extra missing we could easily contact Vivian and she would immediately arrange it for us.
The small balcony was excellent for relaxing after a long day's walk and has a netted door to prevent the mosquitoes from entering. That made sleeping very pleasant as we could leave the balcony doors open and did not have to turn on the air-conditioning.
The studios are conveniently located a few minutes walk from the central road where the bus to the centre of Rhodes' old town passes from as well as about 15min from the Ialyssos promenade with organised beach and plenty of cute restaurants and cafes.
If you are traveling on a low budget or want to keep it low I recommend staying at Vivian Studios.

three things I loved about this beautiful island:
rhodes, for the incredible beauty of the ancient city.
the south coast for wonderful swimming in the crystal clear waters.
but the "village" of ialyssos will remain forever in my heart for its authenticity, like the smile of the people here, like its sea, which cannot be explained, you just need to come and visit it.
we felt at home at Vivian's, thanks to her hospitality and kindness, she was also able to direct and advise us to make the most of our stay!

Vivian really acceded our expectations with her apartment. It was perfect for my partner and I. Everything was so clean and tidy when we arrived, it really gave us the grecian feel. It was actually my birthday whilst staying here and I feel I picked the perfect place. Very satisfied, thank you Vivian!

We stayed for 2 weeks. The location is good if you want to experience the real Greek style life and be away from the tourist traps :)
The place is a nice family run guesthouse.
The room we stayed in was a studio apartment with double bed + wardrobe and safe.
The bed and windows had mosquito net. In the room we also had tv, fridge, small cooking facilities + bathroom/ shower, small table and chairs.
we did not get to try breakfast, but i heard it was good!
Our room was #8, and in the morning it was fairly noisy as the local sales people walk on the streets and yell out their daily offerings.
There were some issues with cleanliness ( bedding not changed often enough, no toilet paper ) with our room but after letting Mama and Vivian know about the small problems we had, they fixed everything immediately. The last part of our holiday we had no problems with the cleaning services.
To get a cheaper price for your stay, I recommend also to book directly with Vivian on her website as other websites charge about 10-20% on their fees.

We visited Rhodes again this year because we are in love with this island and of course we choose to stay at Vivian Studios once again.
Vivian did very nice improvements of the studios in the last year, so all la kitchenette are new, with new stoves and new cabinets. Also, all the bathrooms have now new shower cabins. She also refurbished the furniture, change the electricity system (that is now eco friendly).
Everything that I already said in my previous review remains available: clean rooms, towels and linens were changed more times a week, air-condition, mosquito nets at the windows and the balcony door, very strong wi-fi signal, the beautiful terrace.
Last, but not least, the warmth of Vivian and mama Irene. They will do everything that is possible to make you feel like home, they will help you with informations and tips about the island.
We will be back for sure at Vivian Studios.

More than just clean rooms, a breezy welcoming sitting space, and well placed signage, Vivian gives a traveler a rare gem: community. I asked her about places to eat dinner and she invited me to join her and her mother (as well as a another guest) to a nearby town's festival. A whole group of us shared drinks, cakes, and stories for one guest's birthday. When I lost my bank card to an atm, she offered to get her brother-in-law on the case. I felt like Vivian's Studio was both comfortable, and a safe haven. I highly recommend it to other travellers.

We stayed for two nights, the first of which was our Wedding Anniversary, during our holiday around some of the Dodecanese islands. From previous posts, we were looking forward to our stay. The welcome was very friendly, but the room was terrible. Dark, dingy and grubby. The wardrobe door was broken, but the worst was the kitchen - and the fridge in particular (see photos). We later found that we had been 'bumped' from our pre-booked (and pre-paid) 'superior' first floor room, to this one, as the existing occupants wanted to stay on longer. Although we didn't get to see the 'superior' room, we can only assume these are much better judging from previous posts. So deeply disappointed, especially as it was our Wedding Anniversary.

We had a lovely nice bright airy clean room with a balcony that had sun all day. Didnt see much of Vivian but very helpfull when we did see her and Irena is a lovely lady always pleased to see you and enquire about your day. On our last day she served us Greek coffee downstairs in the courtyard and we chatted which was really nice. The studios are excellent value for money with free wi-fi and air con and also perfectly situated for travelling around the island (car hire recommend as Rhodes is a lot bigger than we thought). Also a bonus the studios are North of the main road and not in the touristy bit so prices are cheaper and the locals eat in the restaurants such as Fileremos which is a 2 minute walk away. The weather was perfect all week and it was a delight to watch the sunsets every night from the balcony (Studio 11).
All in all, we had a great holiday and were glad we choose Vivians Studios and may well be back next year.....

As I arrived I was handed ice cold water (which went down very well as I had a 20kg rucksack) then shown to my room after I explained that I would need to stay longer than expected with no problems at all.
All staff were friendly and gave tips on things to go do or places to see. Vivian even arranged my rental bike. They made me feel very much at home in an alien country.
The room and hotel in general was clean and well kept. I loved sitting on my balcony and having my dinner or sitting downstairs underneath the jasmine bush (that smell will forever remind me of Vivian and Ialyssos). There are locally owned shops nearby, literally minutes walk away, including Stani the bakery (dangerously good cakes and ice cream.. Its a must if you're in Ialyssos) and the long beach within walking distance is cooled by the sea breeze.
It was the perfect end to my Greek island hop before my terrible time in Turkey.

We spent 11 nights island hopping, starting at Rhodes and going on to Tilos, Nisyros, Kos and Kalymnos.
Our first three nights were booked over the internet at Vivian Studios.
Vivian herself greeted us very warmly and introduced us to her family and made us very welcome. She was always very helpful.
The location is a not that attractive, stuck in a rather anonymous strip of villages along the coast from the airport to Rhodes town.
But it is very close to supermarkets, restaurants and moto hire places, which is what we wanted.
We paid Euro17 per night. So when you read the one or two more negative comments, ask yourself whether you would wash the bedding, clean the room, pay the water and electric bill, all for E17 per night.
Our accommodation in the islands ranged from E17 to E40 per night, and Vivian Studios was not noticeable below the standard of the others.
It's a good family-run place, and Vivian is a charming helpful host.

Hello Mrs Kaka!
Yes of course!
All super markets are open until 21:00 on weekdays, until 20:00 on Saturdays and do not open on Sundays.
Also, right oposite Vivian studios there is a mini market open every day until 23:00 and on the way to the beach there are many tourist shops open every day until 23:00.
Hello Mrs. Marks!
I have sent you an email!
From Kamiros port there is a ferry every day and even a "sea taxi".
Best regards,
Vivian
Hello!
The port of Rhodes is only 7km from the studios and you can get there by bus, car or taxi (15 minutes drive). As for the dive shop you mean to buy equipment or book diving excursions? You can try Blutopia Marine Park, Waterhoppers, H2O and Lepia as some diving schools.
Best regards,
Vivian
