Labranda Blue Bay Resort garners mixed reviews, with guests praising its cleanliness and beachfront location, yet some find the service inconsistent and the atmosphere lacking vibrancy. The variety of pools and water park are highlights, although refurbishments and more sunbeds are needed.
While the proximity to the airport is convenient for many, the noise can be bothersome. Rooms are often described as outdated and in need of maintenance, and guests should be aware of extra charges for certain amenities and upgrades.

Detailed Reviews
My friend & I returned from the Blue Bay yesterday after a week's holiday. Firtsly I wanted to say that the staff were all great, very friendly & helpful. They all wore face visors of masks & there were hand santiser points all around the entire complex.
We were given a room in the annex. The room was great, top floor in block 6000. We had a corner room with balcony at the front & one on the side which meant we could catch the late afternoon & early evening sun. The room itself had 4 single beds, the mattresses were hard but that wasnt a problem for me. The bathroom was small but functional although it did flood after a shower. There was also a seperate toilet. There was a mini fridge, tv (not that we turned it on), a wardrobe big enough for 2, air con & safe. We also had breakfast in the onsite restaurant there. we didnt use either of the 2 pools there but it looked like if you were after some peace & quiet away from the main hotel pool that would be a good place to go. To walk to the main hotel took a matter of minutes.
The food was good with plenty of choice. We were served rather than helping ourselves which was fine although that did mean a slightly longer wait sometimes but again that wasn't an issue. They pool snacks were lovely and the drinks available were basic all inclusive, wine, beer, soft drinks etc. We tried the Italian restaurant & that made a nice change (you get one free meal although you pay for the wine). There was also a Greek restaurant which we didnt get around to trying. All in all I would say that the choice of food available throughout the day was very good.
The entertainment team were great fun. They were limited to the activities that they could do due to social distancing & Covid. My only critism was that the music they played over the sound system did tend to be their own choice of music & not being a fan of Grime it wasnt my thing but maybe something was said as they did play more varied music towards the end of our week. The evening entertainment they put on was very good.
The main pool was lovely & clean & it's just a stones throw from the beach. The beach is quite stoney so we just bought 6 euro beach shoes which made getting in & out of the sea a lot easier on the feet & I would recommend anyone to do that if they were thinking of going onto the beach.
Lastly, the hotel is on the flight path into the airport but after the 1st few planes have gone overhead you really dont take too much notice & they dont fly over after about midnight & start again until about 6/7am ish. I wouldnt say the planes detracted from the overall enjoyment of the holiday.
All in all we had a really lovely week and would certainly return.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous 10 days here. Check in was quick and easy (city tax is roughly €30 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children) when you arrive, your cases are disinfected and you’re then whisked away (if staying in the annex) on a gold buggy. The rooms are small but comfortable, although they do lack enough plug sockets, we had to choose between the tv or changing our phones. They have 3 pools areas in different parts of the ground and a water park, the pools are maintained ok and the water park is fab for the children, you have to be out early to get a subbed by the main pool though.
The entertainment team are good fun and not pushy if you don’t fancy joining in, music is good and not too loud.
The location is within 50 metres of a beautiful beach where you can watch the amazing sunset of a night with a drink from the pool bar.
The food was good, sometimes repetitive although you expect this from an all inclusive. The A-La-Carte was fab and the Greek restaurant was a 7 course banquet and was superb. The Italian was good too and the guy who runs it was super friendly and obliging.
The staff go all out to ensure that you have a fabulous holiday and we did. Social distancing is maintained and considered we visited in the middle of a pandemic, the staff done a remarkable job!
Well done Labranda!! 👏👏 we will be back for sure!
P.S: to anyone reading this, this is an honest review and my opinion is not for sale, if you have any questions, you’re welcome to drop me a message

We have just returned from our family holiday where we had 10 days in Labranda Blue Bay Resort near Ialysos. What can I say.
We were apprehensive about the holiday due to the Corona Virus and how the situation was being handled. Well we needn't have worried.
All the rooms were sterilised before the next family arrived. Suitcases were sprayed as you arrived at the hotel. Everything was spotless and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that you were kept as safe as you possibly could.
The food was lovely. It is all inclusive and the only difference is that they put your food on the plate, you can have as much or as little as you want. There was about an hour per day where they weren't serving food and that was between 11am and midday.
The sunbeds had been sent out with gaps between so you weren't on top of each other. We did have to get up early to make sure we got the spot we wanted but it was worth it tbh.
Animation team were amazing and the evening entertainment was good most nights.
Rooms were attended to regularly and you got pool towels and bath towels.
Right on the beach, you do need beach shoes though to get in the sea unless you have feet of steel hahaha.
We really cannot fault this place. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We were due to check out at 11am but weren't being picked up until 21:40 so we paid 50 euros to keep our room on till later. This was worth it for us so we could go in the pool and sea and know we could shower etc before leaving. Not for everyone I know and you may think a little pricey but we let my daughter and her partner and baby shower too. Possibly not really allowed but they didn't have an issue with them putting the cases in our room and these were even taken up by the porter.
All hotels have soom issues and will never please everyone, but I can honestly say I have not got one negative to say.
Thanks once again everyone involved at Blue Bay for making my holiday so enjoyable and giving me more family memories

My family and I stoped here from 13th August to 20th August 2020. First impressions of the hotel were good. Check in was smooth and as we arrived late we were able to get some food for our Daugthers (ages 12, 5 and 1) we stopped in a family room in the main hotel. We're are glad we didn't get an annex as reviews about them are terrible( From people we met)
Food- very basic. No toaster or toast in the morning and the queues are very annoying especially as I have young children who want different things from different parts of the buffet. Some days it's taken 40min to get a drink, some pizza and some chips. I fully get Covid has slowed things down as staff are serving the food but far to slow. One person filling the trays and serving.
The Entertainment was ok. The holiday reps were really good and made an effort to memorise names and personalize conversations. Myki and Denise were our favourite although Viki and Drogos were great too. The night time entertainment starts too late and no mini disco for the younger children.
Pools- the Sunbeds (although lots were broken) are well placed and the water park is a great bonus although some of the life guards are extremely rude.
The rooms- Very basic. Fridge, minimal aircon, TV With 1 English channel. The cleaning service isnt operating at full stream either. Our room was cleaned 5 times total in the week (beds made etc). I would also recommend bringing your own hangers as only 10 in our room which is 2 per person. The rooms do need some TLC. Ie the door frame in our room 1019 is hanging off and the the air con has a funky smell and there was areas of black mould which was probably caused from aircon leaking (all reported but the aircon was still smelly and I pushed the door frame back in and the mould wasn't sorted up to the day we left).
The hotel is directly under a flight path this isn't advertised and every 5 to 10 min you get a low flying plane fly past.
The pools are a bit too cold and need some shade, the toddler pool does have shade but very dirty.
Would I come to Rhodes again. Yes.
This Hotel maybe however my wife said she would but the food does need to be better.
Did we have a bad time? No we didn't. We met some excellent people and some staff were lovely especially Argyro (main restaurant) who was always helpful and friendly she couldn't do enough for us.
To be honest we would love for this hotel to do a bit better as we did like it overall.

I really enjoyed my two week family holiday four adults and two children at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone, especially if they have children.
Our rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable.
The holiday was all inclusive and some of the food was adequate, but not brilliant. Bars served drinks throughout the day. The a la carte Greek restaurant was so good that we paid to go a second time; 12 euros for adults and 6 euros for children.
We also used nearby bars and restaurants which were within walking distance.
The entertainment team ran a selection of classes during the day. We enjoyed the Yoga lessons, taught by Victoria. As a Yoga teacher myself, I was impressed with the way she taught. I also loved the evening entertainment.
There are nine swimming pools and a water park and the children spent most of their time in the water.
The hotel is very close to the airport. There were not many planes on this holiday because of the Covid situation, but I would imagine that it could ordinarily get noisy.
The staff kept us all very safe with one way systems round the buffet restaurants, bottles of hand sanitizer for guests to use and notices on the lifts warning us not to share with people from other parties. Staff served us with buffet food, rather than guests helping themselves and all the staff wore visors or face masks. We felt very safe there and had a very enjoyable holiday.

I'm writing this review whilst we're still here at the hotel. Having had two holidays cancelled due to the pandemic, we decided to take a chance on Rhodes as our next door neighbour had recently returned and said that the arrangements were very good on the island - and he was right. We have generally felt very safe in an area that has a much lower covid infection rate than back at home.
As a couple in their 60's we knew that this hotel wasn't our usual kind, but we booked it because a) we didn't want to spend time looking around for places to eat and b) TUI checked and told us that the hotel could cater for people with coeliac disease (ie gluten free).
The staff here are all very pleasant and very helpful. The food is pretty good. Plenty of choice and all very clearly marked with numbers refering to the allergens each dish contains. There's a card at the restaurant entrance with a key to the numbers but, having been told to discuss my requirements with guest relations, the restaurant manager Parangiotis, and the greeter at the door Argyra, were very helpful. They walked us round the restaurant and explained everything very clearly. Each morning Argyra asks if I want gluten free bread and brings it to the table. Also they toast the bread in the oven to prevent cross contamination. Most of the food doesn't have any allergens at all. Argyra told us that most of the sauces use cornflower to thicken them rather than wheat flour. I've not had any problems with any of the food whilst we've been here.
There are some things that the hotel could do to improve things and some they are unfortunately stuck with. The hotel is pretty much completely tiled so it echoes a lot. Consequently any noise from young children in the corridors is heard on the whole floor. Having carpets on, say, one floor and keeping this for couples without children would improve this.
Unfortunately the hotel is directly under the flight path to the airport, which is barley 10 mins away, so you get aircraft coming in very low ready for landing. At the moment its not too bad as the number of flights is probably limited, but there are flights landing as late as 11:30pm.
Be aware that Rhodes generally doesn't have sandy beaches so, whilst the hotel goes straight out on to the beach it is very stoney. Its worth taking are buying water shoes if you want to go in the water a lot (cost about 7 euros here).

We highly recommend Hotel Labranda Blue Bay Resort, which we had the pleasure of hosting in the last week of September 2020 Wonderfully located right next to the beach. We are very pleased with the preparation of the hotel to receive guests in these difficult times, especially with the commitment of the staff who served us very well, waiters and bartenders were very polite. Disinfectants were available in all public places. Food very good and served in several places. Always free tables and sunbeds by the pool and on the beach. We stayed in the main building with superior rooms, it is worth making an additional payment because the annex rooms are very far from the beach and all restaurants. And the low-flying planes were an additional attraction for us, not a torment.

Just returned from a fabulous family holiday at this hotel. The hotel staff worked really hard to ensure that all public areas were kept clean to reduce Covid19 risks. On arrival our luggage was disinfected before bringing it into the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy despite there being 11 of us in our party. All the hotel staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
The food was good and we were all happy with the variety of food options on offer. There is a good choice of dining options available. We especially liked the barbecue by the beach of an evening. The Muses Greek restaurant was also good, you get a range of meza to start, a choice of pork kebab or baked fish for main & baklava for desert. The service there was very good.
Besides the drinks on offer at the bars, there is also a ‘pop up’ cocktail bar where you can buy cocktails for €7. The ‘pop up’ bar guys make a really good cocktail and they are worth paying the extra for. The wine from the bar is a bit ‘hit & miss’ actually more of a ‘miss’ but it seemed to improve with the more you drank!
The main pool was busy & noisy at times when there were activities going on, but there are other pools which are quieter. (The pools in the annex are good for younger kids & there was plenty of loungers available, also the barman there brings drinks around regularly so you don’t have to get off your lounger). The kids loved the aqua-park and there were plenty of life guards on duty to ensure safety.
We had everything we needed for an excellent stay and would definitely stay again.

We arrived back this morning after an exceptionally fantastic holiday. From the moment you arrive at Labranda everything you need, want or could probably think of is available and nothing is too much trouble.
As a family that is new to all inclusive we were a little apprehensive, expecting low quality food and drink however this was far from the reality. The main restaurant served different Mediterranean food each evening with fresh fish, salads and meat dishes to fit most peoples pallets. If you wanted more of a burger and chips type of meal this was catered for down at the beach bar which was a great casual drop in at lunch time. There was a wide variety of drinks and also some premium cocktails that could be bought outside of the all inclusive.
We were married whilst on holiday and the reception and guest services couldn’t do enough, they collected me from my room so I wouldn’t have to walk in the mid afternoon sun, arranged our evening meal on the beach and left us fizz and fruit in our room for our return.
We stayed in block 4000 which has a little kids pool behind it which was a nice escape from the busy main pool and perfect for our 5 year old to build her confidence. The family room was spotless and had 2 separate rooms giving plenty of space so as not to be on top of each other. The cleaning staff obviously took great pride in their work and were always incredibly helpful and polite.
We were a little confused about the kids club to begin with as the pictures in our holiday details show an igloo shaped building however that’s not the case. The kids club was ran by the amazing Sandra who was part of the animation team. She was so friendly and full of energy with the kids always stoping to say hi even on her day off.
Which leads me to the Animation team, what a fantastic group of people! They worked hard every day to put on entertainment, weather it be Zumba, shooting, games in the pool or keeping the fun atmosphere with the pool side music, if you wanted to be entertained from dawn until way past dusk then you absolutely could be.
Each evening they started the entertainment with face painting and a mini disco with kids songs in a number of languages so everyone was included. Once this was done there was then a family entertainment, everything from Bingo and karaoke to tribute acts.
I’m sure there is more however I’m running on 3 hours sleep so I shall leave it by saying, if carlsberg did all inclusives…………………………..

We stayed here from 10-17th Oct 20 , family of 5. 2 adults ,13 yr old, 10 yr old and 19month old.
We had a family room which consisted of 2 bedrooms bathroom and balcony, just enough room for us all. Very clean and modern room, cleaners were great, came in everyday.very friendly. We had a inland view on the 2nd floor of the main building which was lovley. On the last day we paid 50 euros to have a late check out room till 6pm, which we got a nice sea view room, I did personally prefer the inland view though but that is my personal opinion.
Food was one of the better all inclusives I have been to,different pop up stands. Ice cream free during lunch and dinner but 1.50euro any other time which was ok and they were very nice. Plenty of pools to get a sun lounger but if you want one by the main pool then you do have to be their a bit earlier.
Water park was great opens at 10.
We normally go to Spain but Greece is my new favourite, the people inside and outside the hotel are the friendliest I have ever come across.
Really enjoyed this holiday and old Rhodes town is a must to visit, beautiful place.
I felt they have tried to deal with COVID to the best they can, hand sanitisers everywhere and there are all ways cleaners about, they work so hard.
A few shops and bars/ restaurants just a short walk from the hotel which is nice for a different atmosphere. Did not see much of the evening entertainment as it was a bit too late for us and my older children were not much into it but we did watch a bit of the Michael Jackson show which was really good.
The hotel also arranged a activity where the children could plant new trees/plants by the children’s park (as there is no kids club due to covid) which was a great idea.
We went to Greek night but for me there wasn’t much of. A choice, but my husband really wanted to go. He said the food was nice.
When the bbq is on that is great food too.
All in all a great hotel and holiday and would defiantly recommend this hotel and greece... also look out for the young lad at reception who takes your bags, always smiling!!!! Definitely gives a good impression everytime you walk in and out the hotel, very friendly, like all staff.

Yes but it costs extra (€2-€3 euros from memory). Also appeared to be made from instant mix
All meals are included in AI and the drinks also but not great variety
You have to walk out to the main road to get the bus into Rhodes old town. When we stayed here we just got one of the staff to phone for a taxi for us, it wasn't that dear and they're is a taxi rank so you can get a taxi back again.
