The b&b "Il Pavone" is located in one of the most beautiful and exciting of the Amalfi Coast, Conca dei Marini. A small seafaring town perched on a rocky outcrop between Capo di Conca and Grotta Smeraldo, about 4 km from Amalfi, where you can enjoy panoramic views of outstanding beauty. With its 2 km of coastline, this magnificent seaside village is an exclusive destination for artists, writers, directors and prominent figures from the international scene. It is a tourist resort well known for its excellent facilities, clear water and a healthy climate .The bed and breakfast "Il Pavone" is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. We stayed for 7 nights in B&B Il Pavone in September and would have stayed for 70 more! Salvador and his family run this place and it really feels like a home away from home. Initially we booked a hotel in Amalfi but we weren't guaranteed a balcony plus it was almost three times the price without breakfast! I was apprehensive as Conca Dei Marini is about a ten minute bus journey into Amalfi however we ended up being so grateful we were staying in a quieter area after such busy days! From the minute we arrived Salvador told us about the local beaches and things to see. The B&B itself is beautiful and the gardens and hot tub were a bonus! The room was cleaned spotlessly every morning, I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere that was cleaned so well before! This B&B is 5 stars and the breakfast was the best we have ever had! I've stayed in numerous 5 star hotels but there was something really special about this place. It has so much character and the family especially Salvador's Mother made us so relaxed! The room itself was extremely spacious with a balcony with the most gorgeous view. The terrace for breakfast was breathtaking we would have stayed there all day looking at the view. We would love to return to Amalfi and will 100% book to stay here again!

I can't say enough good things about B&B Il Pavone. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were taken care of by the most gracious hosts. Upon arrival we were served limoncello shots and given tips on where to eat and visit on the stay. The hosts even helped us figure out the bus routes to take for a boat tour we were taking the following day (and gave us bus tickets so we didn't need to buy them). Everyone was so willing to help us with reservations, tips, answering questions and even giving us rides when we were crunched on time. Now, onto the breakfasts!! The nicest, most lavish breakfast spreads we have ever had. Fresh eggs, caprese salads, fruit and homemade pastries! All delicious and perfect. Also don't miss going up to their gardens! They are well kept, have beautiful flowers, fruit trees, hammocks and chairs and insane views. We enjoyed some apertives before dinner up there and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. All in all, this place is a 10/10 and we would recommend it to anyone.

A fantastic little B&B on the Amalfi coast. Conca dia Marini is situated between Positano & Amalfi, so if you don’t want the madness of these two this is perfect. Everything about this B&B is fantastic, the room, the location & particularly the breakfast! There are a few restaurants just a short walk away if you don’t feel like venturing far from the room or it’s on the main bus route should you want to travel & don’t have a car. We had a hire car & were able to park outside with no trouble at all.

We had very high expectations after reading all the great reviews, but Il Pavone actually exceeded them. Amazing hospitality, nice clean rooms with private terraces, a view to die for and a breakfast better than most luxury hotels. Add to that a garden in full bloom and a shuttle service to a great beach club, and our stay simply could not be bettered. Needless to say we’ll be back.

Stayed at Il Pavone for 5 nights - from the moment we arrived til we left everything was just perfect; very welcoming host, beautiful room/view, and the best breakfast ever.
The owner gave us a lot of tips what to do in the area, arranged boat trip to Capri, drove us to Agerola (path of God hike - don't do it if you are afraid of heights!) and down to Amalfi.
We really enjoyed the piece and quiet evenings here after all the hustle and bustle downtown. I would highly recommend this litle gem.

Dear everyone: hands down, the best place to stay on the Amalfi Coast is with Vito, Carmella, and Salvatore at Il Pavone B&B in Conca dei Marini.

Location: Conca dei Marini is located in between Amalfi and Positano, making it a quiet, convenient hub for all your trips into the different towns. That said, it rivals the beauty of those towns on its own. The beach at Marina di Conca is gorgeous (and beach chairs and umbrellas are cheap!). Plus, you have La Bontà del Capo down the street for some of the best food you will have on the coast (free shuttle there too!).

Comfort: There are only three rooms at Il Pavone, so you almost never hear or see other guests. Every room has a balcony over the Mediterranean, and the shower is ultramodern with three sets of shower heads. Very beautiful.

Breakfast: Yes, breakfast gets its own category! Please understand that if you stay here, you will have one of the best breakfast spreads EVER. For only two people, they put out three different types of locally made pastries, a dozen types of fresh fruit (some of which they have grown themselves), prosciutto and cheese, homemade omelettes, packaged goodies, yogurt, toast, fresh-squeezed juice, cappuccini... Not joking, so so good. :D

Hospitality: These people essentially adopt you when you are staying with them. In the mornings, they ask you where you want to go and take you there themselves. You only take the bus or taxi back. They organized our trip to Capri (for half of what I was planning to spend!) and gave us advice as to which beaches to go to and when. When I mentioned how much I had liked this delicious strawberry covered pastry I had tried three years ago, it showed up at breakfast the next day (thanks, Salvatore!). You will miss them when you leave.

Finally, it's just so reasonably priced. You couldn't fino a bitter deal.

Grazie Vito e Salvatore, mi mancate molto!

My husband and I stayed for 8 days at Il Pavone at the end of April/13; it was one of the best decisions we have ever made for a holiday. It is very difficult to put into words the breathtakingly beautiful view from the B&B. The room was perfect - clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. But, what made this holiday so awesome, was not only the view and places on the Amalfi coast we visited, but the hospitality of Salvatore and his parents Vito and Carmella. We were treated to an outstanding breakfast and, of course, cappuccino, each morning. They were warm, generous and couldn't do enough for us. Salvatore not only arranged excursions he, generously drove us to several places and arranged for transportation to various destinations on the coast. We will definitely be going back! Thanks to Luigi at Borealis in Kitchener for recommending his friend's place to us.

hosts...incredible, view...incredible, breakfast...incredible. rooms very clean and nice with best view possible.
a little out the way, but that's what you come here for - to escape the touristy bits and experience the real amalfi coast. the restaurant down the road is awesome too. never usually like to eat at a restaurant more than once when on holiday but was happy to eat here three times because of the food, service and value for money. salvatore & his dad can't do enough for you. they dropped us at the beginning of the walk of the gods and we trekked down to positano.. awesome.
love these guys, would recommend anyone coming to amalfi to stay here.

This was the best B&B we have stayed in. Salvatore and his family are just amazing. They couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spotless - cleaned everyday without fail, fresh towels and new covers. Breakfast was just delicious as everyone else has mentioned. We were taken where we needed to go every morning. Salvatore organised a tour of Capri for us, dropped us off and picked us up. It was great. We enjoyed all of the restaurants they suggested but loved the small family run pizzeria just down the road - cheap and delicious! Conca was beautiful we enjoyed the beaches there to get away from Amalfi. September/October is a really good time to go to avoid crowds. There is a bus stop just down the road - make sure you catch the Agerola NOT the sorrento bus to avoid all the stairs (haha - we made that mistake). Buses cost $1.20 euro single ticket but I recommend getting the 3 day tourist pass (easier, less hassle). Wifi was strong. The view was breathtaking. A really great stay! Thank you!
