Picture this: the horizon are the snowy Alpine peaks, closer you see the rolling green hills of Belagio across the blue waters of the Lake Como, while you stand surrounded by a forest of cedars, araucaria, fig, orange and lemon trees; coconut, dates and banana palm trees; rose arches, rhododendrons, grapevines... Paradise must include a spot like this! I spent... More

About the history of the villa was written here enough ;-) so I concentrate on a short description of this jewel above lake of Como. The villa preserved its originality and was not transformed into a plush, luxurious place, though it is very comfortable and extremely well kept. Make sure to reserve in the Villa, because the more recent guest-house... More

Stayed here for a conference but can't wait to come back as a tourist. The location at Lake Como, a very short walk up the hill, is stunning. I was lucky to have been allocated a room in the fabulous villa which boasts wonderful views across the lake and has a small pool nearby (most rooms are in the modern... More

First of all, this is an amazing and special place. It is a beautiful villa, with a masterfully planned garden and a superb view over Lago di Commo and Bellagio. Having been the summer vacation spot of German chancellor Adenauer, the place was bought by the conservative parties foundation and is mostly used for political oriented travels, but the place... Excellent location on Lake Como. Friendly and competent service. Good value. We stayed in a little apartment with two bedrooms -- this was much more spacious than most hotels. Only two drawbacks: - lack of air conditioning - the bells of the nearby church until midnight and from 6.30 am
