Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 3 nights in June. We had booked directly a few months before our stay & secured a good price for one of their larger rooms/ suites. The room was huge with a lovely private terrace and good air conditioning . Included were top bed linens , thick soft towels , bath robes & slippers, a well stocked mini bar , huge bathroom with an enormous bath & walk in shower. Most importantly the bed was huge & the most comfortable during our trip .They had thought of everything and equalled most 5 star hotels rooms we have stayed in. We ate dinner there all 3 nights . For 38 euros per person you received a four course set dinner plus coffee with the option of purchasing wine by the glass or bottle . You could purchase their own wine or there was a selection of other Tuscan wines. The food was delicious - beating a lot of the meals we had during our 14 day tour of Tuscany. My only disappointment was that some of the dishes were repeated on the third night as I was looking forward to tasting some more delicious options. Thank you to Julia who is an excellent cook. Breakfasts were a typical Italian affair with fruit, sliced meat & cheese, bread & home cooked cakes. It was nice to have the option of scrambled eggs as well although sometimes it had been standing around too long & was cold. The meals are served on a lovely terrace looking over the vineyard or in a dining room if wet . The grounds around the hotel are beautiful . I particularly liked the herb garden. Due to inclement weather we did not use the pool but it was bigger than expected, private with lots of sun beds . We did the wine tasting at the vineyard which was informative & interesting. Finally leaving the best to last is the manager Vito ( & of course Mia his dog ) . He was most welcoming & couldn’t do enough for us even setting up a WhatsApp group so we could contact him anytime if needed, Thank you Vito. Not sure we will be back as we rarely return anywhere but we are very tempted …highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel in the heart of Tuscan wine country. Both the room and the bath were quite large with lots of amenities. The food (breakfast was included) was first-rate as was the service. But the real standout was Vito, the hotel manager: charming, affable, and 100% focused on service. Can't wait to go back.

The Podere Brizio is a quiet, quaint, beautiful place that you will want to return to. Vito and Mia welcomed us upon arrival and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Coffee and an ice bucket were brought out to us when he noticed us sitting outside enjoying the spring air. The room was spacious and clean with all amenities that are needed while traveling. The included breakfast had enough options to satisfy our morning hunger. We did not partake of the dinner meal, but heard it was also good. This location is breathtaking and worthy of a visit. We would love to go back some time. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time at Podere Brizio thanks to our friends who gifted our stay. Vito was super funny and we welcomed his humour. Helped us book a wine tasting at the associated vineyard. We originally booked dinner for one night only (for a two night stay), but ended up adding another dinner for the next night because it was pretty good and a good deal. Both nights we had a full bottle of wine because they were DELICIOUS and paired really well with our food. Vito helped us choose each night and it was perfect to both our tastes and meal. The bottles of wine was well worth it and we appreciated that it was priced well so that it encouraged people to have an entire bottle.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy Tuscany. Service was good. The location is prefect and has everything you want for a Tuscan stay. Restaurant was good. Had dinner and breakfast with quality food. Room was clean and tidy. Comfortable beds.

The only nice thing about this hotel is that the room was very clean and the views were beautiful from the grounds. The bed was super hard, the breakfast was abysmal (hardly anything on offer - worst spread I've ever seen, the cappuccino machine was broken so you had limited choices), the grounds available for use are quite limited and so you can't get any quiet space, lots of mosquitoes, and the service is lacking (guy at reception was rude to start, lady at breakfast was okay). We couldnt wait to be out after our one night stay (we'd been hoping for a lovely vineyard boutique hotel experience which is not what we got).

Beautiful property. We stayed here for two nights which was enough for us. We had dinner once at the restaurant. The dinner was 3 courses - very delicious and reasonable price. If you go to Podere Brizio - remember to have dinner there at least once! The restaurant is not open on sundays so we had to make other dinner plans in Montalcino for the second evening which was absolutely ok since it was a 10-minute-drive to the town. We were told reservations to Montalcino restaurants were recommended.

we spent 3 nights there while visiting the Montalcino area last week. The setting is wonderful as the resort is surrounded by wineyards and olive trees. It is only a 10' drive from Montalcino and therefore extremely well located. There is however so much more to do of that place if it wasn't for a manager who's still to understand what customer service is all about....!

This hotel is just beautiful! Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards it is Tuscan heaven. It is impeccably well looked after, clean inside and out and the service is fantastic and welcoming. We sadly only had 1 night here but it was the best of our whole trip and we much enjoyed an afternoon and morning by the swimming pool. It is close to Montalcino where we had dinner although it is also served at the hotel. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful and their little dog is so sweet. Really hope we will return someday! Highly recommend
