We "discovered" LaMontagnola 15 years ago and have come back every year either taking over the 6 room villa farmhouse with family and friends or just one or two rooms Located amongst Olive Trees that harvest the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Italy with annual awards including a swimming pool and spectacular views of Assisi, Betona, Perugia and more.... This place is what you dream of for a quiet, picturesque retreat in the Italian hill country. It was wonderfully peaceful and calming, away from the town and surrounded by olive groves. Carmela the manager was so pleasant and helpful. Note that no food is served, but it is a short drive into Torgiano for supplies or meals. For those... More

La Montagnola came highly recommended and we were not disappointed, even for a second. We stayed in the blue apartment at the top of the hill and loved soaking in the beautiful views across the olive groves towards the mountains and Assisi. The apartment is comfortably furnished and has everything you would need. A lot of care has gone into... More

Only on our final day here were we shown the actual agriturismo - an olive oil estate at the top of the hill overlooking Torgiano. It surely looked like a great place to stay (and explains all the 5 star reviews). That is where you want to be! Watch out that you don't get relegated to the surplus housing offsite!... More

Dear Laura, we do not put people in a place they do not wish. We do not relegate people nowhere. You asked me for a room, and in last minute I offered you the only room I had available in the middle of August. My web site is very clear, we have 3 farmhouses for guests and 2 pools, with... More

Our group of 10 was easily accommodated at this beautiful retreat! La Montagnola is a wonderfully secluded property, close enough for day trips to Assisi, Perugia, Montefalco, and others. The immaculate amenities left us wanting nothing - well stocked kitchenette, washing machine, screened windows, and wifi. One trip to the Iper-coop for groceries, and we were ready for a fun... We were having trouble finding this out-of-the-way agriturismo and for good reason. This former hunting estate of a nobleman is situated away from the town, away from traffic and away from crowds. If you are seeking serenity in the Umbrian countryside and if you want to be close to Assisi, Montefalco, Todi, Bevagna or Perugia this may be the place... More

We travelled to Torgiano for a side trip to visit the surrounding Umbrian hilltop villages. I booked a double room due to a promotion and the reviews. The room was large, comfortable with a separate modern bathroom. It is located within a renovated Farmhouse and there are various types of accommodation plus I think a few villa's on the same...
