The hotel is lovely but the food is awful. We had dinner on Friday night. How can a chef get a ceasar salad so wrong. It was most definitely not the dressing for the said salad. The chicken burger was so dry it was inedible and sent it back. The hotel room was very nice and

Great hotel in the centre of Dungarvan town, just off the waterford greenway. The food is excellent in both value and quality. The same are friendly and the rooms are clean. I would not hesitate to recommend lawlors for a stay

Ideal location and a nicely run clean hotel, everyone was friendly, I live not too far but we stayed during the festive season to cater for a work dinner and to have a few drinks and not worry about how to get home. Great lively little town with great Bars, Staff at the hotel

We saw several B&Bs in Dungarvan which looked nice from the outside. You could check them out.

Stuart is right. Dungarven is a lovely place. The hotel is extremely tired & the cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired. However, we found the food to be basic, but ok and the staff were very friendly. It is in a good location and the bed linen was clean, however the, supposedly, white towels were grey. Would we stay there again? No!

I tend to agree with the previous reply; You get what you pay for and the accommodation at Lawlor's is somewhat out-dated and tired. I didn't think the food was that poor, but it certainly wasn't gourmet quality. However, I found the staff helpful. Over all I wouldn't recommend this for a SECIAL celebration.
