Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. I've never stayed on a farm where the hosts cooked for us - I definitely want to do it in the future. Ava is a fantastic cook and gracious host. The grounds themselves are beautiful, the rooms are cozy, the food is DELICIOUS. It's tucked away enough that it makes you feel like you're in a fairytale. Brina the pup is a great addition. If you're thinking about doing a farm to table experience, this is your sign to BOOK!

Rarely to have an experience combined food, hostpitality and environment.
Having visited more than 100 countries all my recommendations go to Seruga family and Eva as host.
Just a day spending at Seruga’s farm is a pure expirience of culture, nature and beauty of life as it is.

We have just travelled back from this perfect weekend.
I travel and experience a lot, but this family owned tourists farm is the best of all.

Even it was completely off season, we have served as would be in the peak one.
The food was excellent, home made, fresh and delicious!!

We have stayed in the cabin, and it was comfy and relaxing. The fireplace was lit when we have arrived every day.
Eve is the person as all guesthouse owner should be!

If you travel to this part of Slovenia don't miss Seruga!

I wish all the best to Eva and her family.

Laszlo

For those looking for a quiet and peaceful rural retreat we doubt you can find much better than Seruga Tourist Farm. Set in an idyllic location, with streams meandering through the property this is a working farm. Cows in the barn, farm implements around and food entirely raised or grown on the farm.

Our room (#8) was huge, with wood floor and ceiling. Beyond the very comfortable large double bed there was plenty of room. The bathroom was large and the shower wonderful. The room led to the terrace that fronts the building, providing a nice opportunity to enjoy the country views.

Dinners was homestyle farm food. Large servings of generally simple (although the swiss chard quiche in puff pastry was far from simple, yet superb), but wonderfully tasty and healthy food. Both evening meals began with soup, followed by a salad and then the main plate. Homemade dessert finished the meal. It was impossible to leave hungry. And all for a ridiculously low price.

Breakfast was also very good - no hot dishes but juice, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, excellent bread and croissants, pastries, lots of fruit, meats and cheese.

Lili spent a considerable amount of time after dinner the second night talking with us about the history of the farm - it was originally a mill that provided bread to the nearby area; burned during WW II and ultimately rebuilt. They are completely self sufficient.

Seruga Tourist Farm is an opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of an rural setting, and to enjoy good food provided by caring and informative hosts.

nice settings and nice room, but the dinner was a huge disappointment: meat was inedible, the vegetables and potatoes served as a sidedish without any taste. and the wine was nothing special but amazingly expensive.

As soon as you get there, you start regretting that you'll have to leave. The place is enchanting, the service excellent. A very good starting point for walking tours. I've been here twice, the room was always spotless clean, the Šerugas are very nice. The food is very good, too: a broad selection for breakfast, and the dinner has abundant portions of a wide selection of dishes. I especially recommend their blueberry strudel.

When I looked up Tourist farms in Slovenia, something about Seruga caught my eye. I quickly dropped a line to the owner (Lili), who replied immediately. I booked myself a single room for the weekend and drove from Ljubljana with my dog. We were greeted warmly by Lili, her husband and their beautiful Golden retriever, Ronka. Lili was very friendly, inviting and gracious and her husband was very kind and loving. Together they were very hospitable. The room was perfect - clean and furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, TV and decoder, a desk and chair. I had the groundfloor room which was perfect to get a great view and listen to the stream flow. My dog had a beautiful time running and playing in the open grassy spaces. Lili served delicious dinner on both nights - all home cooked and sumptuous and the portions were huge! Breakfast was an elaborate yet simple affair. There are a lot of things to do in the area around the farm and you can also spend time on the farm relaxing. They have speed internet as well. The rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable. I would definitely revisit for their hospitality, food and for playtime with Ronka.
