Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Yarrow hotel is in a lovely old building with an interesting history and has been refurbished to a very high standard with luxurious rooms. There is a well stocked and comfortable bar and a very pleasant restaurant. The breakfast was very good as was our evening meal with very helpful and attentive staff. It is just a 10 minute walk into Broadstairs.

This is the second time that we stayed at the Yarrow and both were very good. We like the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a lovely big bath in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast is nice with a great selection of fruit and pastries but also English favourites, and everyone is very helpful. The location is excellent, within walking distance from the station and the seafront. We already look forward to coming back!

We had 2 Deluxe Double rooms and both were very good. Big, clean rooms with nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds. The hotel is clean and warm and has ample car parking. The staff are helpful and friendly. We were not fans of the overly bright bar area but the cost of B&B for 2 people is very good.

We enjoyed our stay at this lively hotel. Our room was large, had an ensuite bath and shower, a king sized bed, and the buffet breakfast with poached or friend eggs cooked to order was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and being able to park my car in the car park even before we were able to check in was a huge benefit. The only area of improvement thst I would offer would be to turn the water thermostat up as the bath wasn't warm enough. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

The Yarrow is a charming hotel about a 10-minute walk from the harbour. The room (a deluxe double) was large and comfortable, the breakfast good. Most of all the staff were friendly and very helpful. We used the spa (pre-bookable for a charge) where we had exclusive use of the jacuzzi, the sauna and steam room for an hour. The hour felt very short. Would recommend as a place to stay if you do not mind a short walk.

Such a great weekend at this hotel, came previously on the tasting menu with wines which was outstanding, this time we had the dinner with side dishes which was all delicious and cooked to perfection. Our bedroom was bright and modern with everything you could need, excellent heating on cold nights which is very much needed. Next day breakfast served in the restaurant really good buffet with a really good quality sausage. Top marks to everyone here. We will see you again in the spring

It was unfortunate that there was no mirror over the desk/dressing table which is an essential for ladies. Also, not enough shelves in the bathroom for makeup etc. There were no drawers for clothes in our twin room therefore they had to stay in the suitcases. We had dinner in the restaurant and the table was wrongly laid with the cutlery in the wrong place or facing the in the wrong direction! The staff were enthusiastic and friendly but did serve drinks in the wrong glasses! The hotel was very clean and modern but we didn't feel that there was any ambience with all overhead lighting.

Thank you for your review Tony1949j we appreciate your feedback which has been discussed with my team here at The Yarrow. I am sorry your table was laid incorrectly during your stay, although we do have students working with us, it is imperative that we have this checked with our professional staff and I am sorry this did not happen on the day you dined with us.

We spent one night at The Yarrow in a clean, modern and spacious bedroom. The entire hotel has a lovely feel to it and the building is beautiful. We didn’t eat at the hotel for dinner as we went to the local Charles Dickens pub. We enjoyed breakfast the following morning which was absolutely lovely offering everything you could want in a breakfast, tasty and fresh and so much choice. We will definitely return and would like to try the restaurant for dinner next time too.
