Ok for one night, the pictures in the hall ways were fab, but the bathroom just needed a good clean, I wouldn't want little kids crawling around the floor. Also the woman down stairs told us to leave on Sunday 10 30. Then a cleaning the next day said we had to be put at 10 🙄

I can see why some people may have issues staying here, It's very loud being above the pub and on the high street, the room decor was ok, bed was comfy (although very low..) and room was averagely clean on arrival. The main issue was that the shower didn't work, which is unacceptable when you are paying around £70 per... More

Please stay away. The walls look like they're painted by a drunk sailor. It's dirty, messy, and unkept. At the time we were there (July 2016), the bathroom of our room didn't have cold water. Notifying staff didn't seem to matter as they were unhelpful and simply looked like they didn't care in the slightest. The manager told us he'd... More

Having read the other reviews I was pleasantly surprised by the room which was clean and comfortable. The decor in the corridor and staircase is definitely quirky with its Dickensian theme, but if you want somewhere to stay that is really handy for Rochester Cathedral and castle and is not your boring chain hotel, then try The Kings Head. All... More

Clean and presentable room 11 overlooking the highstreet. Comfortable night stay. Bathroom virtually in darkness with a very low wattage bulb. The shower pressure is very poor, though at least it was hot. No bedside cabinet to put your glasses etc so either on the floor or pull up a chair. This was a bit surprising as their was room...
